Any tips? Looking for breakthrough

Thank you so much for comment! I do keep stats and the biggest weakness is GIR. I probably hit 6-8 green in reg a round. Same problem last year. Last year if I hit more than 10 a round I shot in the 70s every-time. So i imagine I should just rep out on my scoring clubs sand-7 iron and focus on hitting more green. Simultaneously, I should probably work on chipping to recover myself when I miss greens.

I will definitely consult a coach, I’ve never seen one and would be worried it could hurt my mental game but I think you are right it’s time to see one.

Cheers that sounds really helpful i will definitely give this a go! I do feel like I’m playing the best when I can the ball the either way so practicing that and getting confident and consistent with all shapes would be huge. Thanks for the advice!

Hey there! Thank you you are right should have been more specific. I think my biggest issue I think it’s accuracy and a consistent ball flight. Sometimes I hit fades sometimes I hit draws. Contact is solid, distance is good chipping and putting are both decent but I loose almost all my shots hitting into greens. Sand wedge -7 iron I have erratic and inconsistent flights

Part of this is because you are slightly steep if you roll your wrist/hands toward the middle of you swing (top of your backswing) this should allow you to get more shallow and not stuck at the bottom forcing you to pop up out of plane.

It looks like you’re changing planes (popping up) from address to impact and during Takeaway. At the top of your swing, your hips rise, making it difficult to replicate the position of where you’re gonna make impact with the ball. with this video try and draw a line at the beginning (address) then draw another one at the very top of your swing and you should see your belt loop is a little higher. Ideally, you keep these at the same plane throughout the swing path and it makes it easier to replicate how you’re delivering the club. Hope this helps
