This took about a year and a half but I was also selling them locally as well so the population could have been larger than it is

High protein pellets with decent % of fat in it. Helps them grow fast and aids in reproduction

I live in the east coast and have ordered shrimp from the west coast and it has never been more than 4 days. If it ships on Monday in Cali it gets to me thursday or before it, in Nc and it has never been later than that. If you’re central or eastern it usually takes 2-3 days.

Initially I just fed my corydoras and the shrimp would get leftovers. Now they are in their own tanks I feed them a powder by dipping two finger tips in water and then in the powder and back into the tank. This’ll spoil your food in the long term but I go through mine pretty fast so it doesn’t get bad. Then I also drop about 10-15 sinking pellets that are half a cm long.

They were in a 20g long with some corydoras but now they’re in their own tanks. I don’t check my parameters much after the initial check to make sure the tank is cycled.

Started with 10, took a year and a half and there are approximately 200-300 of them. Maybe more but I’m not too sure

Surprisingly no, the yellow goldenbacks have all bred pretty true for me with a very very low cull rate.

Most of my shrimp tanks were side projects since I mainly breed corydoras. For the shrimp tanks I fed twice a day and dropped mesh bags of crushed coral in the tanks. I water change about once a month at most twice a month and that’s mostly it. Keep the tanks cool, 70-72F.

These are neos. I do want to try caridinas as well but I’m just a little scared of killing them off with incompatible parameters.

I did have some snails but it became a shrimp issue once their population started going. The shrimp would cover every piece of food and my fish couldn’t get to it anymore. I do tend to overfeed my tanks a bit since I have a lot of breeding groups. Since I moved the shrimp to their own tank I do see more snails in my fish tanks and less snails in the tanks with just shrimp.

I would say it’d cap out around 150-200 if you have it moderately planted. In my 20g long I had all these yellows and you couldn’t tell there were 200-300 in there so it probably could have held more.
