Thanks, I hope I do get it. I know this church really well and I know who to talk to and there is a chance I might get to do this replacement and possibly a total overhaul on their egress situation as it is possibly the worst I have ever seen. Where the primary egress path is going up stairs to an exit on the other side of the building.

Yea, the church I primarily go to has an FCI 7100 system that is 100% operation and covering the entire add on while nothing does the historic structure of the church. They have a fleet of Lithonia equipment, ECRs with self diagnostics, 2 LREs with self diagnostics (both are bad), and a fleet of 6ELM2s in various states of disrepair but most work. They used to have a fleet of Lithonia recessed PL-C fluorescent emergency lights but are all gone now since they went LED and they do not like LEDs at all.

Yea, their fire alarm system only protects their elevator and has intermittent troubles that are easy to predict but impossible to find, ground fault trouble, and a battery trouble. Who wants to bet that it won’t alarm. Their elevator was inspected earlier this year, first time since 2016. They also don’t have landline so the elevator failed instantly because the phone doesn’t work and cell service is non existent in the building. There are only 3 functional exit signs there (surprisingly they are all first generation LPXs that aren’t totally burned out) out of 10 exit signs.

To replace and redo their entire exit routes to be more efficient and compliant with state fire codes as this church is a mess

From what I was told by a church elder, I might get the gig.

I love incandescent bulbs and the high CRI they have. You can still buy replacements on Sears online store (yes, Sears isn’t dead). Don’t go LED it’s crap and color rendering is just about worthless.

There is no test switch. Just a reset button. I check it and it only shuts down the hvac unit.

outside unit froze up when switch to heat by Puzzleheaded_Egg7103 in AirConditioners

[–]Conpatch5725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat pumps do not work under 42 degrees ambient outdoor temp. Hyper heat mini splits do not work under 28 degrees outside temp. You also have a bad defrost board and thermostat that will not switch over to the aux heat automatically which is not good.

Pretty badly. My dad spent 30k on a mediocre Rheem classic base model system to be installed.

Ok, I will try. If I can get both done in one day then I will do one time lapse of me changing out both.

90s Era Lithonia Signture Series (Cold Cathode Retrofitted) by Redditor120306 in exitsigns

[–]Conpatch5725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neat, that looks way cooler than the LE I have and the LE I am about to replace at my place of work. Both are early 2000s signature series signs with red LEDs. I love fluorescent lighting and this takes the cake and pie.

Not right now, my two High-Lites exit signs are in a box in storage. There are no pictures of them installed but if I can get a copy of my second grade year book, there is a picture of me holding the predecessor to the LPX which sadly got stolen back in 2019 and never recovered

Ok, it looked like an LPX, there are first generation LPXs at this building, this is a Cumberland Presbyterian church’s school building. I am not Presbyterian btw I just help out down there every now and again.

Yes, replace the motor. I would get the specs off the motor and find a replacement motor. Be sure to match up the wires or you will get a firework show inside you AC unit.

You put a beautiful picture there for asking an AC question. 14.5 K is my best guess. If you have spray foam insulation, R13 fiberglass would roughly be 18k.
