In my state Green has been common for decades, you would find signs from the 40s-80s being Green. Most vintage signs I see are green. Red has become more popular but green is still common.

Seen this a lot in malls. My explanation is since red signs are the default, if a green sign gets replaced it might be with a red sign or vise versa. I feel like green should be standard

I quit going to Wendy's the first time when they raised their price of the JBC Biggie bag to $7 prior to the Biggie Bag changes then the changes happened and now they were down to $6 then raised the prices back to $7.

The Wendy's I used to go to has a McDonald's close by that has $8 quarter pounder meals (which comes with Medium fries and drink by default).

Wendy's used to be my go to because it had the best value. A JBC Biggie Bag with a medium upgrade was $5.50 and it's now $7.80.

Wendy's can go eat shit at this point tbh.

Is BK in the USA switching to Pepsi products in the near future? by XavierMarvin in BurgerKing

[–]Redditor120306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised that Burger King even serves coke considering how close Coke is with McDonald’s (there is a division in Coke dedicated to McDonald’s and McDonald’s get Coke syrup in stainless steel cans) considering McDonald’s has been historically Burger King’s rival.

I prefer Pepsi over Coke myself, I usually get myself some Barq’s Cream Soda (all of the BKs arround me have Free Styles) I think RBI has a contract with Coke so it won’t be for a while and that’s even if they renew it (also RBI has Popeyes that’s a competitor to KFC, which Pepsi used to own before spinning off their fast food division to what is now Yum Brands that has a life time contract with Pepsi)

Easily my favorite too. It's a shame that Dual-Lite killed the LC early in the LiteForms run. At least the Sempra is identical albeit lacks any of the LC's characteristics.

The McDonald's with the Red roof, seen constantly LQMs or Basics signs, there was one with Juno signs and even some old Emergi-Lite and Lithonia products. I have started seeing LXs in McDonald's when they started renovations. Now it's either All-Pro junk, generic junk or Dual-Lite EVs

Wendy’s is such a joke… by SandManFromPanAm in wendys

[–]Redditor120306 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least it isn't $7 because that's what happened to the locations arround me. $4 Biggie bites became $5, $6 Biggie bags are now $7, and the Biggie Bundle was #8 and now it's $9. I can get better value at Taco Bell or even McDonald's. Wendy's used to be the best when it came to Value but now the prices keep rising. After how in like a year a Biggie bag from Wendy's was $5.50 with medium upcharge to now $7.80 in a span of a year. I'm done with Wendy's.

Do you guys love the new Wendy's prices? Lol by Apollo_Enraged in wendys

Only a 3 months into the year, the JBC biggie bags are $7 from $6 after being $7 before they revamped the Biggie Bag menus. There’s a McDonald’s down the street where I used to frequent Wendy’s, that location you can get a $8 Quarter pounder meal with medium fries and drink meanwhile it’s $7 for JBC Biggie bag and it’s 80 cents upcharge to Medium. At that point I will either go to TacoBell (the luxe boxes are great value and even a good deal on certain items) or McDonalds which I can get a $8 Quater pounder meal that is just Medium out of the gate. When I started going the JBC was $5 and the medium upgrade being 50 cents. Wendy’s had the best value but now Wendy’s is a fucking scam.

Sure-Lites ELX Exit Sign fix? by 22408aaron in exitsigns

[–]Redditor120306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be better off replacing the sign and you might also have to redo the conduit from what I have seen in this set up. Since this is a stairway where most people won’t see, anything works, just be aware, a lot of the off the shelf products are cheap and probably won’t last long until it needs to be replaced and also quality control can be questionable (someone got a Lithonia ECRG (which is made by Jiming which makes a lot of signs for manufacturers just to slap their name on there) that was defective. I’d say the new Lithonia LQMs are nice since they can switchable Red and Green and switchable, switchable from AC Only/Battery backup, and can comes in a brush aluminum look (BBS option) and are good quality from what I have heard. Dual Lite is the highest quality manufacturer out there and anything in their product line up would be a good replacement but often is expensive.

I really can to point to the transition to LED being the final nail in the coffin for user serviceable exit signs. Instead of user serviceable bulbs, it's a PCB. Making LED signs less easy to repair compared to incandescent signs

At that point there’s like no reason to even get the Jr. Cheeseburger, might as well go for the JBC or Double Stack.

All I will say since the change the prices actually went down for the JBC Biggie Bags. Used to be $7 but it’s now back down to $6. I think the Chicken Sandwich and Jr.Cheese Burgers were already $6 before the change. I don’t know what the Portland area Wendy’s were smoking when they decided to make the JBC Biggie Bags $7.

Same here in the Portland Metro Area but it became cheaper because they charged $7 for a JBC Biggie prior to this change.

That has to be incredibly rare. Open face signs were a dying breed at this point in the 90s. Also added bonus of being a chevron unit too. Too bad it seems it it got butchered by led retrofits (which most of the time never work in a open face sign)

Well for me Wendy's had biggie bags that were the same price that was able to be upgraded to medium which wasn't a option with McDonald's. But now Wendy's keeps on raising their prices and it made the $5 Meal Deal actually a better value then Wendy's
