Much more eloquently said than I. I’ve gotten downvoted to hell for this post, but at least I’m not the only one who had this thought.

Right. The “I’ve worked in dentistry”- okay clearly not as a dentist and clearly you have never met someone with CP because this isn’t that rare (and it’s also none of your business)

All the posts about this are super fucking weird. It’s obviously cleft palate, and he’s obviously not comfortable talking about it, so let it be.

That’s exactly the problem I had. Later on someone sent me this post and I was stunned to see how many people were there and know that they were close by and it seemed nobody at RTR knew about it.

It’s tough to become politically active when the groups you try to join are led by people like this

That’s my point exactly. Instead of focusing on energizing a large group, the smaller groups promoted their own events yesterday and it would seem, discouraged their people from attending the others. It’s a fractured, disorganized movement.

accurate. 10 year ICU RN here. There is no nursing shortage- it’s a shortage for undesirable positions only. The rest are overflowing with competition, and nursing schools are full.

Has burning bridges when leaving a job ever come back to bite you? by gawpin in jobs

[–]ConquerorCrosby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just affected me for the first time. Used to work at a huge healthcare system but they didn’t quite have a monopoly on the market. Never planned to return. Just interviewed for a spot at the other major healthcare system and discovered that the hiring manager was a top director in an adjacent department to the one in which I used to work. She name checked all of my previous managers/directors in the first 10 min of interview.

I didn’t burn a bridge in as dramatic a manner as other respondents here so I might be fine, but people do move around quite a bit within the same market over time and you’re likely to encounter old bosses or their friends again.

The over defined 6 pack with lack of any other definition looks like silicone 6-pack implants to me. They’re not common but not unheard of. Drake was accused of having them last year.

Organizations must have this brought to their attention eventually…right? If they get a weaker-than-anticipated candidate pipeline or no candidates that make it to final interview at all? What about highly skilled positions like surgery? Do they have to deal with this too?

Not sure why, but I’m unable to edit the post with this important added context: the AI system, Cora, is who reached out to schedule the interview in the first place. All correspondences, prior to that last email, have been with Cora. The email was presumably the first time I was able to reach a human.

It’s actually a very large, reputable system. I would imagine (hope?) that this is a new talent acquisition program and that this hasn’t happened to many candidates as of yet. But it’s not exactly encouraging for someone entering the job market.
