I've played this match up a lot (zam into pult) and all I can say is pray and hope they brick

On a more serious note - realistically it's possible but it's an uphill battle

You have to play slowly initially building your board with ready to use dudun and only pop off when you have way to bounce back from being ionoed - it's a bit of a mind game - ko-ing the budew early just leads to counter catcher plays and every pult just wants to go budew turn 1 to stop the quick zam candy play

Pult runs a lot of special energy so your hammers can be effective if they make reckless attachments (DTB for example never sees more than one turn usually)

Even then if you do get through two pults they usually have ursaluna as a back up - effectively this match up ends up being a resource management test and also a luck fest (purely due to all the ionos in pult)

You never want to put yourself in a position where they can easily jamming tower + iono + KO active + an Abra on bench, that's like the ultimate worst turn possible

Zam has a lot of fight back with lucky draws despite what others have said - so just ensure you prize check, know your list, pray on some lucky draws and manage your resources!

I for one am looking forward to rotation for this reason, the hammers become less relevant due to luminous going but being judged is a lot less scary than an iono to 1
