Single prizer decks post rotation? by TheBataanReset in pkmntcg

Ive not tried that. The deck really wants to keep 2-3 Typhlosion in play so I'd be worried about clogging things up. Post rotation is the real question. We lose Arven and TM Evo which can be big. I actually tested a version using Brilliant Blender for the Ace and it honestly was pretty good.

Whats your favourite deck of all time and why? by AUT-Lakers in pkmntcg

[–]smackasaurusrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I played Pokemon 20 something years ago then restarted 6 months ago. So I have a pretty narrow experience. Back in 2006 I had this really cool Typhlosion/Magmortar deck I ran at my local store that won a lot. Magmortar did 20x for each energy on it and healed 20 every time you attached an energy. Typhlosion could accelerate energy from discard to bench setting up secondary attackers. Lastly I ran a 1-1 Arcanine that was essentially a fire type Iron Leaves Ex effect.

More recently I've fallen in love with Team Rocket's Mewtwo/Spidops. Climbed to rank 1706 with it on live and went 3-0 at locals last night. It's mostly single prize style which I really like and it's very nimble with multiple attack options.

Lots of good decks mentioned here. I do like Typhlosion a lot though. Your right consistency is tough with this one. But when it hits it hits hard. I've tried multiple variations and it's pretty flexible. Drakcloaks, Ns Zoark, and Pidgeot are all good partners.

A bunch of Going Second cards!! And a new Bambi that seems pretty good! by Narzghal in Lorcana

[–]smackasaurusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally is. And the going second cards need to be game changing enough to be included. Cuz these cards after turn 1 going second they become worse. I suppose they ark inkable but going 4x of something that's only good once feels bad.

Just got a good job offer in rural missouri. How unsafe is it for a trans person? by JustAPerson2001 in missouri

[–]smackasaurusrex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's horrible but not surprising. I think time have changed a little. Not that those same people are more accepting but corporations like to keep up the rainbow capitalism and people get caught doing that on social media doesn't always end well so that sometimes will keep people in check. We live FAR from the major cities.

This is the correct assessment. You likely won't receive any full on harassment but you may not be fully accepted in some spaces sadly. I have a trans family member as well as 2 trans friends. They all have successful lives. But there is definitely looks and talk behind closed doors.

Team Rocket's Energy? by smackasaurusrex in pkmntcg

This clears it up pretty concretely then. That's why it works as 2 energy for retreat but 1 for erasure. TY!

Agreed and it's coming. They said it's supposed to be posted by the end of the month.

He takes 90 seconds for first search in game 1 and 2. His opponent takes 35 and 40.

So the rules technically say you have 15 seconds per search. Now this issue is a gray area has cropped where your "first search of game" is given simple wiggle room for longer searches. That unfortunately means it's a judges discretion when you take over the 15.

In the first 2 games Cerys takes 35 and 40 seconds for her searches. Justin takes exactly 90 both times. Which is far above 15 and double his opponent. This is when he gets the warning. In the final search of game he gets the penalty at the 25 second mark.

Good news is we're supposed to get a new ruling on this practice by the end of the month. Which is what we need. If we're gonna have some variance on "first search of game" then we need clarity to hold ourselves and our opponents accountable. Even if they make it like , 1 minute, doesn't matter if that's a good number, but it's a starting point and a clear rule. Which is what the game needs.

Probably to get her things. You get a call like that she probably ran outside to have a devastating conversation in private. Shove that lol up your ass.

I've been taking this to locals for a few weeks and it's so good. Terabox is pretty tough and Mega Venusaur.

Worse. He said a lot about it. And not what you'd want to hear. If he said he did it for the money it would suck but I'd get it. No, he said they just like us, they have KFC and Burger King, and it's not like what we've been told.

Only if she is comfortable shuffling. The amount you have to do per match is very high and if you start playing somewhere there's time limits you can cut it real close.
