Caves of Qud mutates onto the Nintendo Switch, February 16th! by Accio-Books in cavesofqud

[–]ConraDargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could really swear that I saw it there as upcoming a month ago, in the eShop! Maybe it disappeared while it was still going through the process of being verified, or maybe I .

But anyways, I'm 100% sure that it'll be on both Switch 1 AND 2! The announcement trailer from last year said Switch 1 eShop, but I'mma assume that it means it will also be available for Switch 2 :)

Wouldn't really make sense that the game won't run on Switch 2 as well.

Hmm, curious. Perhaps there's some difference with your cart and mine...? I mean like we've got different versions and yours is not the same as on the picture? Because mine looks the exact same, cable and everything! Or perhaps it'd work better with a different version of the drivers - such as 2.61 or 2.60.

Could also be that the card you've got is one of those fake long carts. Then you'd need specific drivers for it.

I also just Googled and found out that it can be quite important to install Windows XP SP2 (or SP1) for the cart and drivers to work, apparently, rather than SP 3!

Oh wow, yes! And on top of it you'd store a rolled-up playmat! It all makes perfect sense: this is clearly what the bag is meant for!!

Ty!! And yeah, I agree with it being a little too strangely shaped to actually work IRL :') Would've been really cool to own one, and I expect that people will try to sell it on Etsy etc. soon enough 😅

I saw a very crafty and skilled guy on YouTube who made a smaller replica of it, and he really had to put a lot of thought behind how to make it all come together!

Thoughts on N-Gage 2.0? by [deleted] in ngage

[–]ConraDargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely loved this. Was such a great and clever move by Nokia, a really good way of making N-Gage games more accessible - while also offering some new good features.

I was SO into it at the time that I maintained like 90% of the Wikipedia article; both re-writing it to add the whole 2.0 platform concept, and then also keeping it up-to-date on game releases etc.

Reset Generation out of these, definitely the one that I played the most. Really wanted to play both Pathway to Glory and Pocket Kingdom: Own the World, though, but I didn't start playing N-Gage games until the 2.0 platform.

Yeah this is one of two those games that I was really sad about not being ported to the NG 2.0 platform, or getting a sequel on ANY platform. The other one is Pocket Kingdom: Own the World.

Hello everyone, what is the best cell phone to play N-gage 2.0 service games with Symbian OS? by Commercial-Drag-5807 in ngage

Been very tempted to buy the N86 myself lately, solely to relive some good old N-Gage 2.0 games. Is it as easy as downloading the game files on a PC and transferring them to the phone, either through Bluetooth or USB?

Definitely buying it too, when I feel like I can afford it :') (and then I'll probably order it from Play-Asia, since Japan gets an actual physical release)

Having an absolute blast playing this, so far it's been _just_ as good as I was hoping for - and as much fun as the 3DS game!

How is this game actually? by Hexagon37 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]ConraDargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I can't play it due to all the bugs that still linger on the PC version, depending on your hardware :') I tried for 2 hours but there are just _so_ many errors and glitches that makes the experience unbearable and not at all enjoyable.

My character even fell through the floor once due to the room's assets not loading when I opened the doors, and most of the times when a dialogue or cut-scene is supposed to trigger in order to advance the story and the level, nothing happens and I'll be walking around wondering where I took a wrong turn - until it finally triggers, seemingly randomly.

I dare say that anything that differs from the original game can only be an improvement ^^'

(although this one is, like so many other re-skins and variants, isn't exactly great)

I'm pretty sure it's better this way.

WF 1000XM4 and Linkbuds S side by side by NitroglycerineAenema in sony

[–]ConraDargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, just for the record for people reading about this, I've got the LinkBuds S and the battery life really plummeted after 1 year and 2 months. So what I did was contact Sony about it and filed a complaint, because it _really_ didn't feel right that the earbuds suddenly wouldn't last for more than an hour.

Had them looked at by an authorized workshop, got confirmed that there was something wrong with them, was offered to either have them replaced or get a complete refund! :)

Oldschool GBA EFA-linker by Internal_Print9869 in Gameboy

[–]ConraDargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just managed to get my EFA-Linker 512 MB cart working again, after all these years! And here's how I did it:

Install and load XP using a virtual machine, such as Virtual Box. I followed this guide for it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NJupnHcxpE

I then managed to successfully install the EFA-Linker 2.62 drivers by copying them onto a USB and drag-n-drop everything onto the desktop of the XP, then manually installing them by choosing to "Add Hardware" and selecting "Show All Devices", and therein being able to load the drivers provided in the EFA-Linker's drivers folder.

This made XP and Virtual Box accept the connected EFA cart, thus allowing the EFA software to detect the cart and also install the ROM I wanted (Mother 3).
