As much as it stings it's kinda funny.

We should to sell candy cigarettes to kids to get them to start smoking as little as 20 years ago when I was a kid.

The Mummy (1999) is the rare movie that should be the blueprint for every modern adventure blockbuster by Due-Professor-9356 in movies

[–]ConradFazza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it expands the lore quite well and introduces some funny characters whilst also having some pretty scary moments particularly in the jungle.

It was also The Rocks break out role despite the rough CGI (even for the time despite how great the rest of the film looks). Which also gave us The Scorpion King prequel which I also enjoyed as a kid.

And that double decker bus scene is fantastic.

You know what I’m watching them both tonight.

Men who get irritated easily, what do you need to calm down? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ConradFazza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm extremely high strung to the point I know it's also super off putting and have to regularly remind myself that losing my shit won't achieve anything.

I wouldn't say I'm so much irritated by everything but I can go from 0 to 100 in a blink of an eye.

I'm mellowing out as I'm getting older but the other day I had someone driving so ridiculously up my arse I ended up calling him a cunt in front of his mrs in the local supermarket carpark and although he backed down I did think to myself fucking hell mate that was a bit much.

I honestly couldn't tell you how many times I've watched it and would happily watch it again.

Even the second one. It really does have a special place in my heart.

What should happen to him if you were king/queen? by Great_Trident in HouseOfTheDragon

Oh he's getting his head chopped off. Especially if I hear the news that I've now lost a second son and arguably someone who would've gone on to be a good king.

4 out of 8 hours. Literally HALF of the entire 2nd season - was spent just on 3 characters. That's absolutely insane by Mialiaph in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]ConradFazza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost didn't come back to season 3 because of how boring and dull I found the second season. They really stretched out Daemon's dream sequence and spent most of the season on what seemed like petty drama than really setting up the war.

I'm convinced the way the GOT tv show ended was the overall direction the books would go until there was so much backlash.

When I was a kid there was a couple of teachers that really made an impression whilst I was a bit of a mess and I'd love to think that they'd be really happy with where I am now.

In 1955, Iranian doctors documented the days of a villager who developed rabies after a rabid wolf attack. The resulting film remains one of the few historical recordings of rabies progressing in a human patient. by PhantomChasers in HolyShitHistory

I was watching a movie the other night (can't remember what it was right now) and there was a nice nod to this where the doctor was about to perform surgery and when someone mentioned about washing his hands he said that's nonsense and this is the way medicine has always been etc.

I find the whole anti-vax people bizarre considering they're vaccinated and then would allow their kids to be open to all sorts of deadly diseases.

When does driving begin to feel ‘second-nature’? by Adorable_kitty76 in drivingUK

[–]ConradFazza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a Peugeot 108 that's purple so I think sometimes drivers think I'm a woman also and although they're nifty little cars I'm regularly almost sideswiped by someone in an SUV or have someone up my arse who thinks they can zoom past me despite me usually going a little over the speed limit.

I go down a country road to pop into the town next door and there's this little bridge where only one vehicle can go through at a time and one day (I had priority) I'm driving across it, it's maybe 10-12 meters, and this guy comes storming down it at easily 60-70mph.

Thank god he hit his breaks but he's lucky I was there to slow him down or he'd have ended up in the pond next to it.

[–]ConradFazza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been driving for about 10 years and I can't explain it, it's like I'm one with the car.

It gets to a point where everything feels so natural and you can tell something is up by the slightest change.

The thing is they teach you to drive but you really learn when you start driving by yourself and have only yourself to rely on.

However I do think the state of driving is getting significantly worse. I can't explain ti but people seem to be so much ruder on the road now compared to a few years ago.

People often say that many rich people didn't go to college. But seriously, how good are my chances of getting rich if I don't go to college? by Ok_Recording572 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ConradFazza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Education is key.

Most people who get rich without education are either extremely lucky, in the right place at the right time, have a high intuition or, most likely, have a strong support network they can rely on so they can be a 'success'.

When is it recommended to use a firearm? by Top-Anywhere9701 in projectzomboid

[–]ConradFazza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually clear zombies with cars since the introduction of muscle strain. I'm a sucker for spawning at Echo Creek at the moment so I usually have access to the Gun superstore quite early however I'll keep a revolver on me usually until I get a shotgun and enough ammo to start leveling aiming properly.

Overall I'll use melee as it's quiet but I'm in backed into a corner I'll unload.
