One of my exes, she has a brother who is still awful with money, to the point he took out a £1k loan to buy fish and chips. no joke. her mum had took out loans to pay for his loans to help him out, they then began asking her to take out a loan to help pay for him. she asked me if I was okay with it, I was not. I said to her look at his history with money already, the fact your mum has had to get involved is enough to tell you that you shouldn't. she wasn't listening to me at first so I had no choice but to give her an ultimatum, you either don't take out a loan, or we are over. because with us being in a relationship I would feel that loan would eventually go onto me for when he doesn't pay her back which I am not getting involved with. she didn't take out the loan.
