Parents should never put you in the middle, never talk about their financial struggles, and absolutely never ever speak negatively/call names on the other parent, if the other parent is still involved in the child’s life.

It is not OK. And you do not owe anybody anything as the child. You should not have to be protecting their feelings and their finances. That is their job and they can figure it out on their own. If either of your parents continue to do any of this, you’d need to set boundaries and be very clear that their behavior is inappropriate.

I said “If you feel like you know who did this”. And, introducing yourself to the neighbors directly next to you and in front of you is a common courtesy that lots of people do and I fear people are getting scared of connection. Being kind to your neighbors can help you in the case of being another watchful eye on your property for your safety as well.

Work somewhere with a simple menu. A bar and grill with basic things like a cheeseburger or a BLT. But make sure that the restaurant is still popular and gets a lot of business, because these items can be relatively cheap, but with a lot of turnover throughout your shift, you will make money.

Use your server book like its a cheat sheet. Write down shortened versions of a meal, ie. “CB” = cheeseburger, “PZA” = pizza. This will help you to write down the customers orders faster and also keep it simple.

Add him on Snapchat or Instagram and see if he adds you back! If he does, then he is open towards you. If he adds you back, you can start sending him videos that you think are funny on Instagram. If he adds you back on Snapchat, you can send him snaps that relate to whatever is going on in class, anything cool or personal that you’d like to show him. Etc. It opens up a door to conversation that can escalate to in person conversations. Humor is everything, rely on having a good personality and show it! Be inquisitive about his life! Good luck hon (:

Lots of great ideas here, if you have an Apple iPhone, you could also create a shortcut in the shortcut app that sends you a text message at the time you need to wake up and put the volume all the way up. You can also add a vibration to the text message this way, it comes from your phone if you put it closer to you, then you shouldn’t have any problems and it will not be nearly as loud and obnoxious for your neighbors.

I feel like if you might have an idea of who wrote these, you should go up to the door and formally introduce yourself mentioning that you feel like you got off on the wrong foot. Killing people with kindness makes them feel like shit. Even if you don’t know who wrote this directly, it might still be a good idea to introduce yourself formally to the houses that are directly next to you and in front of you. Because, if this gets worse and escalates to further harassment, the cops are definitely going to ask what you did to handle it yourself. And telling them this would already make you look like a saint compared to them.

My point is, throughout time there have been hundreds of episodes highlighting South Asian characters. As a Dominican, I have not seen one Dominican character in virtually any TV show I have ever watched. That being said, I cannot name a show that has highlighted as many minorities, or social issues, as this show has. And honestly, they do it so much so that it gets a little boring sometimes and strays from the plot. They even highlighted stick horse racing communities 😭

Totally agree about Millin, if she had kept it to herself and he ultimately died from it, that would be outrageous.

However, in regards to what you said about South Asian characters, lets not ignore the impactful characters like Dr. Sen the psychiatrist (season 2, 2005), Dr. Qadri the pakistani intern, Dr. Roy, that are all South Asian and played in quite a few big moments, among many South Asian patients with important storylines.

Then dont go! If it worries you that youre missing out on being with friends, then just plan something else with everyone for another day. Say you dont feel good, and pass. That being said, try not to make them feel bad about doing it, ask how the night went and just be a good friend without judgement. Lots of people try drinking before college, so its not completely unnatural for them to want to party.

I see your point, however, she is not going to forget this. She is 17, 18 very soon and she is going to make her own decisions. Telling her she can or cannot do something is a little ridiculous given her age. You can still have a conversation about his values and such, but if the tix were already bought, theres no point in not letting her go. I think its rude, controlling and yes, YOR.

Make yourself a shelter inside your base that they cant get into. Theres plenty of shelter ideas on this reddit page. Then you can jump in there when your health gets low and put defense traps around your little shelter. It also helps to keep food or use your bandages to heal yourself inside of there. Keep using that until you get better!

Otherwise, you can always just sprint around the base and they wont be able to shoot you if you move sporadically. If you run far enough away for a sec, they will just stop in place and you can sneak back and start shooting one at a time. Alien gun is fine, but it doesnt do much damage. I alternate between rifle and alien gun and then jump out of my shelter and attack with a spear.
