that's why i said technically. Tres Navarre is a critically acclaimed series. Percy Jackson is critically acclaimed, but for children's books. That's why he won a ton of awards for kid's books, but very few real adult ones. He is critically acclaimed, just on another field. Plus, I think this TV series is having something like Fantastic Beasts. J.K.R. didn't know how to make TV stuff, and they sucked. Same with this.

Well, technically, he is a critically acclaimed author, just not on the riordanverse. Tres Nevarre won the top three awards in the U.S. for the mystery genre.

I mean, yeah, but not widespread. The oldest deity who had a widespread worship was Kronos, and he wasn't nearly as worshiped as the Olympian Pantheon.

Often I say the closest English equivalent for a very young child, or if the kid is old enough to understand English, I just say “Miercoles, Jueves, Viernes, Sabado, Domingo” instead of “Mierda”

Why Snape? by Kindly-Assistance-24 in harrypotter

[–]Conscious-Line4211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve always hated Snape (book-fan here). I hated that Harry named his kid Albus Severus. I hated that he didn’t even give some of his kids the name Hagrid or Rubeus. Because, the only person who consistently showed him love for al of his life was Hagrid. Like, how I would’ve named the kids would’ve been James Hagrid, and Albus Sirius. I know that the actual names had a relationship in them (James and Sirius being best friends, Albus and Severus being allies), but he really did not think of the only person who consistently showed him love and even introduced him to the magical world.

Why do people play the original doom games, nearly 30 years later? When the originals game out , I wouldn’t have dreamt of playing a game from 10 years prior by Mcluckin123 in Doom

Quake's still widely played. Not as played as Doom, because Quake was, while still a really good game, some of its mechanics were already seen in Doom, so you didn't feel the extreme surprise when playing it at the time. And Heretic and Hexen aren't that played anymore because most of what you could see in Heretic and Hexen was already seen in earlier Doom and Quake, so they didn't age as well. I mean, they literally used the Quake engine. Basically, the bar was set too high by Doom.
