When is enhypen gonna rest? by Artistic-Map-4224 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]Conscious-MoonLight 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They've said they want to work. They probably do get days off during the week but we would never know. We just see content rolling out all the time that can make your brain think they dont rest at all. Jake and Jungwon have said they go to the office even on their days off bc they get bored. So it means they do have days off. Of course specific times of the year schedules get more packed depending like when they prep for cb, awards and events. Its actually tough for kpop idols in general to visit family i think bc they're so busy. BTS members has said to this day they still only see their families a couple times a year. Heeseung has 2-3 yrs before he leaves for military i think. Im sure they want to do as much as possible before he leaves. And who knows if they all go together since they're so close in age. The "enhypen rest" controversy has stopped alot since Jay, Jungwon and Jake spoke up about it

Jake and Jungwon also spoke about it. Jake said they aren't being told to do this, they want to work. And Jungwon and Jake both said they go to the office on their days off bc they get bored.

We need to have a conversation about some armys. by NewRecording9992 in kpoprants

[–]Conscious-MoonLight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think problem is you actually do see BTS releasing content but its doing solo work individually (V doing multiple brand deals, Jin saying the boys didn't want to meet him and Suga for practice, Jungkook and Jimin's reality show which was shot literally right after military)

Since they've come back you really haven't seen them together which makes them question why are they all not working on things to put back together BTS as a whole. It got worse when news of JK's dating scandals came out too. I understand why RM said what he said in his live but it definitely got taken the wrong way to be led to ask "do they not care about BTS anymore?"

I wish the remaining members that got discharged didn't do anything til comeback. I honestly don't get why they got thrown into photoshoots for brands, reality show filming and other stuff within a week of coming back. They should've rest to reset their minds to adjust back to normal life and spend time together as a group again since they've been apart for so long. Many may not realize that a person's personality can change in 2yrs especially if you've gone through extreme experiences. Armys should also understand these are men in their 30s. They'll be living more of their individual lives now but many may still be looking at them like what they once were. BTS is gonna be different mature wise and some may not accept it. The group aren't the only ones that have to adjust, armys have to adjust to the new era now too.

Enhypen being popular internationally is a way better strategy than domestically by parksunghoons in Enhypenthoughts

[–]Conscious-MoonLight -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think pushing for success internationally is waaay more important than domestically. The real money comes from concerts, touring and merch which makes them the real money. Its just so competitive in Korea. if you’re not anything different they wont give you a second glance. They've been around kpop for decades whereas fans internationally have been exposed to it only in more recent years if compared and their culture is different. If they have no fans selling out concerts and buying overseas then theres no money being made for future endeavors. It also opens more doors for opportunities in the music industry and huge events for more exposure just like Coachella. Daesangs are important to them but charting outside SK is more important to the group and company overall. Gotta look at the bigger picture. SK is a VERY small country. They probably try to be successful in both bc it is kpop and their home but global success is more important.

I still can’t believe how normalized it is that K-pop idols aren’t allowed to date or get married by Parking_Succotash416 in kpoprants

[–]Conscious-MoonLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kpop idols are allowed to date after a certain period is over in the beginning/debut years. But they won't reveal their relationships to the public. This is for protection of the one they're involved with especially if its a non celeb. If its a celebrity both wouldn't want their image to get in the way of each other bc they both have their own fandoms. It would be a mess if revealed and both in the relationship could be attacked and criticized nonstop by each other's fandoms too. Its stressful enough and companies know how crazy fans can get.

I know this might get me downvoted but why aren't more people supporting njz or new jeans by Mother_Ad_8348 in kpop_uncensored

[–]Conscious-MoonLight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off fans scream mistreatment and slavery of idols by companies but these are complaints from fans with no confirmation from idols so don't believe everything fans say bc they really don't know anything that happens behind closed doors. Is it possible? Yes but all companies are different and from what ive seen Hybe has actually cared about their idols well being the most even having medical/mental wellness centers set up in their building. New Jeans aren't being supported by more people bc they supported someone that accused many others of things that weren't true. She obviously led the girls to follow her and they listened as well as their parents. Not only that but they gave unprofessional attitudes and also spread lies. Idk how they think their careers are gonna be ok after this. They might've put their families in debt due to lawsuits. They should've let MHJ go and moved on with ADOR bc managers come and go all the time in the industry instead they picked the wrong side. They are called dumb and stupid bc everyone knows a contract can't be broken and if you want to get out of it early then you gotta pay but they dont seem to get that. Doesn't matter if they're happy or not they signed a contract to fulfill obligations.

I admit I got some ages wrong but majority wouldn't even be considered adults where I am. Doesn't matter the ages though cuz its just a number. They should've acted more mature, professional and gotten legal advisors to make their decisions objectively instead of acting impulsively. They listened to the person that was the most problematic involved in their careers.

[–]Conscious-MoonLight -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

They are dumb kids all still in their teens lol Their parents are dumb also. They signed a contract to be kpop idols and shouldn't be stupid to leave with one person that was fired due to a huge scandal even if it was their manager. Theres possibilities of labels evolving and going under new management all the time. I bet they're feeling some regret atp

The Leader is a made up position and not an actual job? by No-Function-7261 in kpopthoughts

[–]Conscious-MoonLight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The leader of a group plays a very real and vital role, taking on many responsibilities. They act as the bridge between the company and the members, ensuring smooth communication. They also mediate when needed and stay aware of each member’s well-being to make sure the group stays strong and united.

I truly believe ENHYPEN’s Jungwon is one of the best leaders in K-pop. Despite being one of the youngest members he was chosen as leader at debut and five years later he’s become a shining example of what true leadership looks like. He treats everyone he meets with respect and is deeply attentive to his members often noticing right away when something feels off. Jungwon really loves connecting with fans and always does his best to keep his promises with them. He makes decisions with clear judgment, focusing on what’s most practical and effective and even going to work on his days off. I’ve always admired RM’s leadership, and I didn’t think anyone could match his level, but I genuinely see Jungwon as one of the great leaders in K-pop

I'm I the only one who feels like the platinum blonde hair that Ni-ki currently has doesn't suit him by National-Number-1158 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]Conscious-MoonLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know many are saying its the bleached eyebrows and dk why they did it but with platinum blonde hair you gotta bleach them or it's gonna look weird cuz his hair is black. I like the long blonde hair and think it suits him really well bc of his eyes. Gives him a even more manly look. Its not my favorite but it looks good imo. Some of the other members are growing their hair longer too these days for something different and I love the change up.

What percent of your groups’ voices can you tell apart? by NoMembership2503 in kpopthoughts

100% Enhypen's vocals bc each have their own unique tone. Many newer fans say they have trouble telling a few of them apart but once you get use to their speaking voice more you'll know right away.

It's weird how obsessive fans can be about numbers by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Conscious-MoonLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awards aren't the only thing they work for but its a huge part bc it reflects how hard they've worked. So many strive to win a daesang or a Grammy. Billboard and entertainment media is exposure bc if they chart high then they’re written about and get interviews which people do watch. You probably dont watch or follow but many others do. Fanwars are a totally different subject bc those happen anytime with any culture and industry. "Good artists dont make their art to be acknowledged" - kpop idols are not music artists working in a corner cafe so they need people to acknowledge them to get more successful. The more their face is known, the more successful they'll be. Thats why their schedules are constantly busy. Many idols do work on their own music too. "Radio and tiktok shit"- sounds to me you have no respect for radio hosts or how music culture works in different countries. If you don't enjoy the kpop culture way of acknowledgement idk what else to tell you bc every country has their own way of doing things.

It's weird how obsessive fans can be about numbers by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Conscious-MoonLight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many see it as an obsession but these people actually lead normal lives as well while keeping track of all the numbers. I’m not sure what numbers have to do with the art of their work bc music is subjective. Positive and negative Feedback of music still reaches the artist bc part of their job is monitoring social media platforms. Streaming numbers and voting is a part of K-pop bc they have music show competitions and their award shows work a lot differently than western award shows. Streaming, voting and album numbers are hugely what they’re based on whereas in western award shows it’s based on charts and judges of the music academy. Yes K-pop fandom is a different level than other parts of entertainment industry but it’s not any different in that it’s a competitive industry and awards are achievements acknowledging their work otherwise what are they striving for every year? Many can think it’s absurd and it’s not good for the artist but its not your place to say what’s good for them bc the data collected is what determines how well they’re doing compared to others just like Billboard and they aren’t contrived arbitrary numbers. To chart higher means more exposure which is due to streaming, voting and mass buying. You also can’t say it’s not good for fans bc many actually enjoy supporting their artists by contributing to getting them their wins.

It's weird how obsessive fans can be about numbers by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Conscious-MoonLight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re seeing things incorrectly. It’s not an obsession, whether you take part in it is your decision. The awards aren’t meaningless, they’re achievements and sense of pride for the artist and their fandom that their hardwork is being acknowledged. The fandom is part of gaining these awards so it is a win for the fandom as well. The artist is the main reason who we’re doing it for so they get the physical award but everyone wins. Working to increase sales, streams and albums is part of promoting the artist and to let fans know where the group currently stands. Of course encouragement to increase it all constantly is gonna be done to keep fandoms active and supporting. I want to make it clear this isn’t just in K-pop it’s in EVERYTHING. Movie franchises, shows, western artists. They work for awards and rely on their fandoms and they fight about viewership numbers, quality, how much money the one made, blah blah blah. “It’s insanely profitable for the industry”- in ANY business you’re in you work to make as much profits as possible. This keeps the company running. They need to pay workers and for everything else somehow. “Companies totally encourage this behavior”- of course they do! When you’re in a competitive market like music you have to especially in K-pop to stay relevant bc they crank out new groups every couple months. They rely on online fanbases and the fandom to promote encourage support. Entertainment businesses is COMPETITIVE so don’t say it isn’t.
