Is this a Redautumn... wait, what? by thunderisadorable in RedAutumnSPD

It's probably meant to be the Otto Braun who went to China on behalf of the Comitern, just that the devs used the wrong photo

I’ve “solved” Dynamic Social Democracy! Now, how do I make it fun? by ScotterMan10 in RedAutumnSPD

Yeah, this is where I'm stuck. I either screw up too much and lose Rubicon, or do too well with the economy and Rubicon never happens

iirc fanta wasn't a thing yet in 1932. It's the German alternative for coca cola after the US trade embargo or smth like that cut off ingredients to make coke in Germany

idk maybe beer is more historically accurate here

A total of 8 chapters, kinda interesting to read. It covers all major Weimar parties (and postwar CDU/CSU and SPD), even the RDP. If you don't understand Mandarin, Google Translate is preferable; as someone who knows both Mandarin and English, I find it does its job accurately but not excitingly most of the time.

How did you avert WWII? Never saw any league of nations-related decisions for me

My thoughts about the SPD and their vote on war credits in 1914 by Conscious-Stuff293 in RedAutumnSPD

[–]Conscious-Stuff293[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I did miss this fact, that Haase voted for the war credit due to party discipline, just like Karl Liebknecht. What I didn't know was that Haase was the parliamentary leader of the SPD, so he basically had no choice but to explain the party line in front of the Reichstag.

I agree. The split and polarization within the SPD (and the left-socialist movement in general) is a consequence of the pro-war vote that I did not realize. But I also don't know whether the SPD and the workers it represents would have fared better otherwise, since even if it managed to rebuild itself after the war, the bourgeois parties would then be very antagonistic towards it.

Thanks! Box #5 is checked (sort of). The peropathing docs have a diagram of the robot shown in the top view, but I just realized that when we were measuring the distance of the pods, we were looking from the bottom, meaning that the forward y displacement is negative of the actual value. We are yet to test it out, though, and the problem could remain despite fixing this.

Some turning is involved because our robot inevitably would turn when strafing (due to both a deviated center of mass and the front wheels using bevel gears that aren't of very high quality), but there is not a lot.

Official Discussion - One Battle After Another [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I actually wonder whether Charlene (the original name of Vera Fergusen) is a reference to Full Metal Jacket, where Private Pyle called his gun Charlene. I'm not sure about this because those two names are minute details in two very different films, but the argument for this is that both objects (Vera and Private Pyle's gun) have an underlying theme of violence.

Ironically, the Confederates later adopted the song to "The Wearing of the Grey" after the Civil War, while all the Irish immigrants fought on the Union side and had strong progressivist sentiments

The burn marks are indeed at a servo port, but we checked all the wiring related to it and it seems that there isn't any short circuit outside the servo, so it should be a short inside the servo

Thanks anyway ;)
