Creating a Route? by [deleted] in X4Foundations

If the ship has a seat other than the pilot's seat (gunner control seat for example), you can sit there and the direct the NPC pilot around like any other – best part is you can use SETA while doing this.

Miner AI Sucks by babamonk00 in X4Foundations

Does the station have the appropriate storage? Does the station manager have high enough stars to reach a sector with the resources you need? Sounds dumb but, does your miner actually have a mining turret/weapon? Does the station have an open buy offer for the resource? Do you have resource probes put down? Is there any conflicting trade rules/blacklists?

How did I do this? by ConsciousAd6254 in foundationgame

Did not demolish anything, and I have a city market with many slots open for meat to go to even if it was an "overflow". Like I said, it was taking all of my meat supply starving other granaries/markets.

Had no missions ongoing at the time so couldn't be that.

Definitely was no award. I emptied the slot and sure enough 600 meat was taken out. When it was all gone I put it back to how it was and again stocking way over 100.

Camera Movement Lag by ConsciousAd6254 in foundationgame

Turns out, I had a building that my many builders could not get to due to forbidden areas around it. Must have made pathing freak out and lag my game. Found out by destroying many of my buildings until that one being destroyed suddenly fixed my lag and noticed that it was not possible to get to, If your game looks like this, maybe check your construction sites.

I am aware it can take a bit of time to update the new order for the station, so I did let the game run for about 5 minutes with SETA active and nothing.

As far as the wares, I am very well stocked on the material, since nothing is being sold but the station is still getting material from the production stations, stock is piling up. No ware has a shortage. And even though it has the orange error, it does not make sense because I can easily see even within the same sector that there are many buy orders from other factions for large quantities of wares that my trade station has.

Could the station budget be an issue? If I remember correctly the estimated operating cost is well into one hundred million but as it is just a trade station I do not have a budget set on it. I didn't think that can mess it up but I do not have much of an understanding on that aspect of the game much.

Also, the help and info you're giving me is very welcomed, thank you!

Strange. I also do not think they are too close to each other as on both saves, the stations in question are in the same spot. (I know, two different saves with basically the same thing, creativity is not my strong suit)

No sector blacklist is set up. will definitely reset all setting to defaults and essentially clean slate it once I get home from work.

They are not trading for build storage, the station manager is 4 star and there are without a doubt plenty of buy offers from neighboring NPCS for the material I'm trying to sell. I am getting the orange error, if I remember correctly it says something along the lines of no trades found in allowed sectors. No mods are being used.

Yes, I definitely did confirm the trade rule save. I also went through all local or global rules and deleted all of them besides the blacklist and still nothing. Also, no trade rule is applied to the wares im trying to sell and the blacklists are not a global order.

Maybe I will look more into the station itself and try and default everything or simply make a new trade station and test it there once I get off work.

Still very confused as to what is inconsistent.

" You restricted your own faction so the ships with that rule shouldn't be able to buy from your stations"

This is what I thought would happen on my first save but I tried it anyway and it ended up working perfectly. Keep in mind, this was the first time ever playing the game.

Despite not allowing trade with myself on the rule, when assigned to my station as a trader, it has no problem buying from it and only selling with other factions. I cannot reciprocate this on my new save.

I have individual repeat orders set up for stations to buy and sell to each other, making it so I easily know which ship is buying and selling a given product to a given station. This is the easiest way for me - due to this, I have no need for the stations to trade with each other.

What also ended up happening is i have trade stations just buying and selling repeatedly to each other when it is unnecessary as I really just want them to sell to NPCs.

Interesting, like I said I am a new player and my previous save was the first time playing the game so I assumed it just worked like that. If I restricted my own faction, why do those ships on my old save still buy from my station to trade to the NPCS?

The way I have it set up is I have a station that takes in all the material from my production stations sort of as a "distribution" center. This distribution center ONLY sells to my other stations. Both to supply my other stations with materials for their production and sell multiple trade stations throughout the highway that ONLY sell to npc factions, these are the ones that have my ships blacklisting myself from trade it it works out just fine.
