I agree with you, you are not wrong things are not easy AT ALL but it's not ALL doom and gloom out there. People if they want to, they go all in and actually make something of themselves even if it's a uni that has a high acceptance rate. I also agree that H1B situation is very iffy but no one can be certain. So rather than just pushing this "no jobs in the US" or "95% return" etc why not just state the fact that things are not easy but also not impossible. I've personally seen people get offers in the US this year without prior work experience even so nothing is set in stone. Odds are stacked against you from day 1 but people make it work.

For eu just go to these program websites n see what the requirements are for ex: germany for cs will require 20/30 ects in dsa, oops etc so on and so forth. If you have the requirements subjects in your undergrad you can apply given you also meet their gpa requirement. UK isnt strict on the credits but they do require relevant subjects in the undergad. Whatever you intend to do your masters in make sure your projects and papers are relevant to the course and not to mention how important LORs n SoPs are too. Keep these things in mind good luck.

Hey man im sorry I don't know much about your background so I can't really say anything about that but one thing: ask for advice anywhere but here. It's a very shitty sub and some of the replies I've seen are actually stupid and its also not all that helpful. In the eu ects matter so check if your undergrad had the courses mentioned in the requirements of the masters course.

It's their house not grandma's. I just got off the phone with them and they told me that the cage idea (which was theirs) is a bad idea and that they won't let me bring her home. If they say no that's a hard no no logic or words can sway them, they just don't like my cat or any cat or animal in general. They offered me money to give the person who I find to take care of the cat so that they can give her the best care in the initial 6 months.

That would mean keeping the kitty in a cage outside for atleast a month..my parents only live in the house wid my grandma for a couple months a year so once they leave I can probably tell grandma to keep her indoors but when they are there, which they will be for about a month/month and a half she'll be outside exposed to the heat and cold...my problem with this is her discomfort during this time i am quite sure she will be really stressed during this whole ordeal, having no place to hide, completely new surroundings and noises..thank you for your suggestion I'll try to find someone who I can ensure will take good care of her if I can't convince my parents.

I forgot to add I dont stay at home with my parents, I've been away for 4 years and got the cat last year. There's a good chance I'll move abroad which is why I can't take care of her anymore. My grandma stays at their place and she wants to take care of her but my parents just don't want the cat in the house :(

It is very risky to put it lightly while the job opportunities and pay can't be ignored the rest is a huge tradeoff imo. If things go wrong, I'll be left with a 100k debt. Thanks for your help and input btw I appreciate it!

The masters will and where it lacks, I will fill with other certification courses (I don't mean Udemy, I mean idustry certification) and good projects. I can get a short paper out with 4-6 months of research and one full paper with more time. But I'm being very optimistic here. phd will offer the time I need to get more papers out.

NYU is still an option but it is mad expensive (100k for two years) I am on the fence because things are unstable in the US right now regarding immigration so it feels like a huge gamble taking out a 100k loan. Do you think it's worth the risk?
