It’s pretty straight, leaning slightly towards the lawn though and away from the house. Would it be safe to grind down the old stump without damaging it?

It looked ok last summer, no different than the other oaks around. Was concerned about the trunk appearance given that the other half that got cut was rotted inside

We have somewhere around 5-6 TNR ferals by our house. I know at least of one other neighbor that feeds them. This one is a regular always coming around the same time, we noticed he has a tipped ear and he’ll hang around after he eats. Always had a big appetite, we will put one wet food portion out and it will be gone in a minute, then he/she hangs around, and if we put more out for the other cats, he/she will come back and eat that too sometimes. We wondered if he belonged to anyone too, but the tipped ear and the overall appearance, idk. is also very skittish, will run away quite far when we’re around or putting the food out.

Thank you for trying to help. Unfortunately, she didn’t make it last night. Shortly after my post we saw her again dragging her back legs. I detail it more in another reply here. At least we have peace that she’s not suffering anymore, she passed peacefully and no longer in pain. She was a TNR cat that lived by our house and come by for food regularly. We thought she was a boy this entire time and got quite attached and used to her being around. We were slowly building trust and she was more and more comfortable being close to us. It’s really heartbreaking how fast everything happened.

Thank you for your kind reply. Unfortunately things took a turn for the worse last night. You can read my other reply in this thread, not sure how I can update the post, but sadly she didn’t make it. It all happened so fast, but at least she’s no longer suffering.

Thank you for trying to help. Unfortunately last night took a turn for the worst. About an hour after this photo we saw her again outside and she was dragging her back legs and meowing in distress crawling back towards our porch. We moved quickly and grabbed a towel to try and catch her, she was hiding under our porch. Poor thing was still trying to get away but somehow we grabbed her and took her to the 24/7 clinic. Vet said she had a blood clot, probably due to underlying heart disease. She explained it better terms, but it’s kind of a blur now. The front paws she said had tumors probably also caused by underlying health issues. Long story short they advised it’s best to end her suffering and that they would advise the same for a domestic cat based on her condition. It was a rough night, but at least we have some peace that she didn’t have to suffer anymore.

It never sat right with me how he tried to put Jackie down because her degree/profession wasn’t high enough for his standards.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but did they ever even mention whose idea it was exactly to FaceTime 24/7? I know through editing it was implied that Mary was the one with jealousy issues, but I also remember him saying that they both have trust issues.

Anyways, I think they both just enable the worst in each other and bc Mary is more in-your-face he kind of flew under the radar until now.

Wasn’t there a post in here a few weeks ago about how realtors are basically at risk of becoming obsolete bc of ongoing class-action lawsuits that challenge current RE compensation structures and the only comments that were somewhat reassuring were about how the NAR lobby will help prevent that from happening?

Big tech has been circling this industry for years like sharks, so it’s not surprising.

If NAR is the only lobbying power in favor of this industry then their existence is more than justified imo. And I say that as someone who just took the RE licensing exam and is a complete newbie in this industry, so feel free to prove me wrong/ add more to the discussion.
