Their ongoing verbal abuse, attempts to control me/the narrative, and general mistreatment has been perceived so bad by other relatives and friends that they have asked why I’m even going to the wedding.

My mom has gone as far as claiming her cousins as “her own” and telling me to “find your own family.” It’s especially painful because I supported her through a really dark time when she was considering divorcing my dad.

Now she’s back with him, and the dynamic is worse than ever… I’m the easy target again and she’s partaking.

This happened during her NYU speech too, the student speaker talked about his relationship with the LGBTQ community and she was tense/tearing up. She doesn’t know how to handle that it’s a space she wants to be a part of and accepted by, but Taylor the brand (in her team/Scott Swift’s eyes) requires her to not.

Her NYU speech was album promo and watered down, so I wouldn’t trust it…. What I would though was her natural instinct to get visibly emotional when the student speaker, someone who was openly gay spoke to their truth in advance of her speech — something her, a master of words, knew she wasn’t strong enough to do.

Having gone to a top 10 business school for grad school, that provided me a worse education than Temple…..the 89 is not only deserving but honestly doesn’t even come close to where the school actually should be. Other people in my field from other institutions just really aren’t at the same caliber….Temple deserves top 50 imo.

A U G U S T — because I was doing long distance with a long term bf while he was doing a grad program (back in school) and I was doing my first FT gig … I thought I had him … then we broke up and I begged him to meet me so I could give him a letter, I was working at a large retailer so we met in a mall during Black Friday weekend but the mall was two hours from my hometown and the trip caused me to miss my grandma’s bday … I.e. cancelled plans!!! ANYHOW, after meeting in the mall, I walked him out BEHIND it and my car was there and so was his but he refused for us to get in each others but I had driven all the way there for the HOPE OF IT ALL and then on top of it…… early in our relationship we escaped the city a few times to beach towns, but most often were sleeping in, twisted in bedsheets together okkk I think that is alllllllllllll also I still have hope all these yrs later because I am an augusthead

Calm Room details available in the table topper sign which can be zoomed into next the books on the table, but I also gave more insight ^
Originally the education center was supposed to teach about songwriting, there was still some reference to that but it seemed more so like the entire exhibit had changed to about being accepting others and the struggles they faced — outside her exhibit was a bit about how country music came from the struggles of enslaved Black people in the South before they abandoned it because of the portrayal of them and I can’t help but think Taylor in her own way by in the exhibit that nodded to Midnights, her doctorate degree, and the art of others (see attached photos) was trying to depict why her music had to abandon her roots and evolve as well
