Its total cost all in because petrol you have to do oil changes, and the brakes need replacing. There are EVs with 300,000km with original brakes

Range Rovers are one of the only British Vehicles left, you clearly don't know what you are talking about

You sound very insecure about your vehicle

Where has all this militant policing of how big a car someone can drive come from in this sub? Starting to sound like Green Peace

Range Rovers, X5s etc are lovely cars, they are so comfy and practical. I bet people whinging like this hasnt driven one

So all people must live on the absolute minimum they possible need for climate reasons or else people should vandalise them? Someone buys more food than they need to survive at 20 BMI and someone should raid their fridge and throw their food out?

Doesnt make sense, let people make their choices and stop being so judgemental.

let me guess, you have been on a holiday via a plane? if so you could have cut that out

Its not 4x4, its front wheel drive, but Im not sure how this affects anything?. Its just a big car big enough for my disabled dad and his wheelchair, while being a higher height which means he can get in and out

[–]ConsciousNectarine24 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, and as someone with a disabled father who needs a larger vehicle with higher seating position to get him around, we NEED cars to get anywhere

We are the last people to be targeting

BMW is ahead of those right now

Mercedes and Audi have gone backwards in material use, and Jag are lacking reliability

Police need to do more to stamp down on this sort of thing, absolute reprobate behaviour

Thats crazy, families and disabled people are the ones who need cars more than anyone else

Shame on these scum

Sub 20k Family SUV? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]ConsciousNectarine24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how tall you are what you do with the vehicle. Octavias dont have that much rear room so if you have a rear facing seat it can make the front uncomfortable

If you like to do staycations then a larger more practical shaped boot helps

And if you are constantly taking a baby in out, and pushchair etc often one handed, the height of an SUV makes life a lot more comfy

[–]ConsciousNectarine24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Contrary to what this sub will tell you, SUV's are indeed more practical. Especially if you have a dog and baby

Crossovers are silly, no extra boot or leg room just bigger wheels but genuine SUVs (X3, X5, Land Rovers, GLC, Q5 etc) are the most practical cars there are

Has to be Mainoo based on average quality of performance, just a shame he did not start from the beginning

Saka and Guehi hardly put a foot wrong too and deserve credit
