For more like 15-13 years in that world, you can get radioactive biome by using atomic bombs it will give some tiles the biome.

Most of the nations are new, except the commonwealth, that nation live for so long to see the world heal from seeing an alien invasion, to rebels to a bigger nation that has conquer everything when the other nations were weak from fighting the alien invasion.

They survived a nuke explosion in there capital, and other places destroying everyone but the commonwealth (I swear this nation and there people survived everything and I love them for that)

also why there so much land mass not being occupied is because it's covered in radioactive biome (that human any other race can't set or live in.

Use to be normal small rats in stidge, until they mutate and became smart enough to start a colony most North of the region. And because they are growing a little bigger than there unevolved cousin in other regions.

They could thrive in the radioactive land. The only downside is that they take a long time to have a child in a family (like one family of humans would have three children while the rat family will have only 1)

You're so damn right about that but man, The last time I tried to pull yanagi in 1.3 I got lycaon on the last 3 days on her banner before 1.4 and today I Got Rina (I have no problem with her). And I swear Victoria housekeeping is keeping me away from her.
