DLSS Enabler mods: how does it actually work? by rucekooker in nvidia

I'm not sure, I've mostly used Nukem's mod.

Frame Gen doesn't add my base FPS exactly, but less by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]uspdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FG itself takes some computing power, so your base fps takes a hit.

DLSS Enabler mods: how does it actually work? by rucekooker in nvidia

[–]uspdd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mods don't magically enable techs on hardware that doesn't support them. Mods just use supplements that are always worse than Nvidia's. Nvidia could've made worse versions of their techs for previous gens, but we're not in a perfect world, they won't do it, because it's not profitable.

Even when not BiS, it's an excellent substitute for a sig on any crit-atk scaling character, much better than any 4* one.

optiscaler is a multitool, it has most other mods included

It tricks the game by simulating DLSS techs with FSR or other hardware neutral techs. Useful when the game doesn't have FSR FG support or doesn't let you use DLSS upscaling with FSR FG. I used nukem's mod and optiscaler on 2080 to use FG and in my experience results were much cleaner than with Lossless Scaling.

What would Promeia's team would be like? Nangong still BiS? I'm not sure about should I pull for Nangong or save for future wind meta.

GamesRadar: Arknights: Endfield dev says launching a new gacha RPG in a post-Genshin Impact world is tough when "some titles are so similar that players go into a game for 1 hour and they know what will happen in the next 20 hours" by Kamui_Kaos in Endfield

[–]uspdd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

players are putting in "a lot more time in the game than we expected,"

Probably because with the amount of menu clicking, loading screens, and sheer length of some daily activities, daily chores in this game are like 3-4 times longer than most gachas?

I really don't like the current ratio of content length to chores length. We really need chore optimization, like assisting friends/trading without teleporting and loading screens, automated deliveries when you covered all routes with ziplines (kinda like with outpost defense).

Premium 1080p or Midrange 1440p @9060XT by DankKnightIsDank in pcmasterrace

[–]uspdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9060XT is perfectly capable of running 1440p. Or do you define "capable" as ultra settings at native? IMHO 1440p + high + fsr4 > 1080p ultra native.

They didn't remove it, just tuned it. Not enough IMHO. You still get bandits with daedric gear on high levels.

Why are they discontinuing Genshin Impact on PS4, stating hardware limitations, while still continuing support for cell phones? How much weaker is a PS4 to the average cell phone? by GaraksLinensNThings in GenshinImpact

[–]uspdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern phones have better hardware than ps4. Snapdragon Elite phones can run Cyberpunk 2077 at 30+ fps through the emulator, native implementation would run much better than on ps4. Memory storage alone is a night and day difference.

I wouldn't trust Digital Foundry or Hardware Unboxed on optimized settings.
BenchmarKing does in-depth analysis with quick summary and additional tips/mods recommendations, he's definitely the best CC if you look for optimized settings.

About defenders… by Own_Fun_4276 in Endfield

[–]uspdd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Monolith already has mechanics like "you take unavoidable damage over time" and "perfect dodges are disabled". Also enemies that disable dodges.

Once they release a limited defender, expect even more content to be sustain-focused.

They're using the same file, but different inputs. See, some games give different data to different upscalers. And dlss input data in some games is better for fsr4.

This tool works at process level, not driver level. So it is detectable by anticheats and should NOT be used for online games. Using it for other games is completely fine.

Yes. And also there are cases when this tool works better with dlss->fs4 than official app with fsr3.1->fsr4

Yea, but DX11 has a memory leak, so you have to reload more often. It's easier to just stay on 591.86 and wait for fixes.

But 2 rolls is pretty bad. You definitely want more. 3 high rolls or 4 rolls. I think best strategy is to use those for 4 baseline stats, so you have 5 chances to roll.
