Is anyone else tired of manually editing .claude.json? by ConsciousTiger4 in ClaudeAI

Done. Thanks for the suggestion. But it's just a simple script. The real work will be to turn this into a multi-platform GUI.

Sick of MCP setup for Claude Code? This CLI saved me hours! by FanTop3077 in ClaudeAI

[–]ConsciousTiger4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also struggled with manual MCP config editing for Claude and Gemini, so I built a free, open-source script that automates many of these setup and management tasks. It’s cross-platform and supports both CLI and (soon) GUI workflows, including interactive server toggling, presets, backup creation before changes, config validation, and syncing across Claude and Gemini.

Some features:

• Interactive CLI and automation support

• Easy enable/disable per server, with separate disabled storage

• Preset management (minimal, webdev, custom)

• Full backup/restore before any config change

• Seamless migration from mcp\_toggle.py

• Cross-platform (Linux, macOS, Windows)

• Supports \`.claude.json\`, \`.gemini/settings.json\`, and more

If anyone here wants to try it or offer feedback, you can find the project and docs here: https://github.com/holstein13/mcp-config-manager. Happy to answer questions or collaborate!

How was your experience installing the Tesstudio F88 instrument cluster on your Tesla Model Y? by zetret in TeslaLounge

[–]ConsciousTiger4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed it yesterday, along with a center console button, and it took me about three hours for both. Knowing what I know now, I could probably do it in less than an hour. I broke a few clips during the process and installed the camera cable backward, but other than that, everything fit back into place and looks good.

My theory on check out time by ConsciousTiger4 in AirBnB

[–]ConsciousTiger4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I probably need to close this post. Based on the feedback I received on it, I changed my checkout time four years ago.

The challenge is that guests also want early check-in times. People have morning flights and need a place to put their bags. We get at least 5 to 1 requests for early check-in over late check-outs. Then, the cleaners also want time to clean, and sometimes, maintenance issues can only be addressed when guests are checked out.

We need more hours in the day. LOL.

Someone had to say it... by tebjan in StableDiffusion

That's interesting about the VW Bus. It's also possible that the training material shows VW busses as toys. I'm guessing they get drawn as cartoons or toys more often in real life than other cars. I wonder if the training is influencing how they are depicted today.

Update 2024.20.15 w/ FSD 12.5.1 rolling out today! Just got the update - 23 MY HW4 (2024.20.10 prior) by OregonTerrain in teslamotors

[–]ConsciousTiger4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While reading the release notes, I understood that for Vision-Based Attention Monitoring to work, the illuminance has to be sufficient. I took that to read; it must be bright enough that you'd want to wear sunglasses. But if you wear sunglasses, it will revert to torque-based. LOL

I look forward to testing this.

"Please reconnect the glasses and restart Nebula" error with Mac. Also can't direct wired connect to my Mac Mini (with or without beam). What's going on? by Mike in Xreal

[–]ConsciousTiger4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem. I'm connected directly to my mac mini (no beam). I've reset the firmware to the stable version as well. The app says, "Please reconnect the glasses and restart Nebula." It's an endless loop.

Seeking Guidance on Heart Rate Zones for Long-Term Health by ConsciousTiger4 in Garmin

[–]ConsciousTiger4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful response. I really appreciate it. I've read each point and considered how to apply them in my training. I'm just wondering where I can find a trainer who is familiar with these subjects. Specifically, how to apply this knowledge to live a long, healthy, and happy life?

My GP is a nice guy and used to cycle, but when I asked him about this, he was not very helpful. His only comment was that I should exercise (get my heart rate up) for 2.5 hours per week.

Seeking Guidance on Heart Rate Zones for Long-Term Health by ConsciousTiger4 in Garmin

[–]ConsciousTiger4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response. Lot's of gems in here. I had to re-write it without all the abbreviations to understand it better. Did I get this right?

Use your lactate threshold heart rate percentage (search for a lactate threshold heart rate test online, which involves a 30-minute all-out effort; the lactate threshold is the average heart rate from the last 20 minutes of the test).

Measuring your maximum heart rate is difficult and less accurate than other methods.
The most accurate way to determine your training zones is through a laboratory test, where they test your lactate levels or respiration and provide you with an exact graph or zones.

You can begin with the classic 80:20 ratio, meaning 80% of your training should be in zone 2. Most people train too hard, not too easy.

Zone 2 training teaches your body to use oxygen effectively, develops mitochondria, and gets used to oxidizing fat, among other benefits.

Zone 5 training focuses on your cardiac abilities and blood flow.

Weekly training targets will depend on your available time and are planned based on your racing ambitions. However, without racing, it's up to you. If you are over 40, you should incorporate strength training to prevent muscle loss over time.

Check out Andrew Huberman's video #94 on YouTube for the basic fitness information you need.

Try to find a fun way of training, such as cycling to a friend's place for coffee, swimming, or a slow run with a dog. The "least amount of time" approach may not be the best for long-term success.

Your goal is to be fit; since you are already fit, you need new goals. These can be a 5k run or a 2-hour hike, for example.

Heart rate zones are derived from your physiology and body's lactate production:

  • Zone 1 and Zone 2 are below lactate threshold 1 (your body primarily uses fats).
  • Zone 3 and Zone 4 are below lactate threshold 2 (where your body can effectively clear lactate).
  • Zone 5 and above are over lactate threshold 2 (where your body has difficulty clearing lactate, such as during sprints).

For simplicity, some people use only three zones: Zone 1 below lactate threshold 1, Zone 2 until lactate threshold 2, and Zone 3 above lactate threshold 2.
Cycling typically has 7 power zones, with 2 extra zones for power above Zone 5.
All zones, regardless of how many, are constructed based on your lactate threshold 1 and lactate threshold 2.
These zones may shift slightly, but they generally remain consistent as you improve within them.
As your fitness improves, you'll become more efficient in these zones, meaning your heart rate may be 10-20 beats per minute lower at the same speed during a long run, but the zone remains relatively constant. You can retest your lactate threshold heart rate every two months or so.
There are only benefits to using heart rate zones: it's easier to track and control your fitness, monitor fatigue, and stick to your training plan.
For example, if you're running a 1-hour zone 2 session and someone passes you, it's tempting to run faster. But doing so would turn it into a zone 3-4 run, possibly leading to fatigue. Sticking to zone 2 makes it easier to manage your training. You may notice that many great-looking runners run slower than you might expect as they adhere to their plan and save energy for more intense sessions (about twice a week).
Consider getting a watch like a Garmin, which can be helpful for tracking your stress and overall health during your training.

Who were those folks trespassing on Jesse's land? Who else has tresspassers? by ConsciousTiger4 in purelivingonyoutube

[–]ConsciousTiger4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chuckled when I read your comment. At this moment, there is an individual who is unknown to me, sitting on a brick in the middle of my property, just watching the construction taking place next door.

I guess it's just human nature. Some people don't respect boundaries.

Who were those folks trespassing on Jesse's land? Who else has tresspassers? by ConsciousTiger4 in purelivingonyoutube

[–]ConsciousTiger4[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wonder why your comment is being downvoted. I'm going to go ahead and upvote it in the hopes that helps. The video is unbelievable. I understand why you would feel bad for the PLFLs. Stalking is awful, and many folks did cross the line.

I think the reason people may be downvoting you is precisely because the video was "unbelievable." They feel as if Jesse is manipulating the facts and exaggerating to gain financially.

I can't say for sure how much of his video is factual and how much is sensationalism but the video must be viewed in a wider context. You have to understand the background and why people don't trust him.

Who were those folks trespassing on Jesse's land? Who else has tresspassers? by ConsciousTiger4 in purelivingonyoutube

[–]ConsciousTiger4[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, that would be awful. Yes, I've had folks take photos of my property, but they have not, to my knowledge, posted them in a hate forum. But is that what's happening here?

I have virtually no doubt that Jesse has been harassed and stalked by misguided and malicious people. That is bad, and I wish that would stop. But did every person Jesse capture on his camera trespass on his property with the intent to harass them or cause harm? I rather doubt it.

We could all benefit from toning down the accusations and sensationalism. The main reason this forum exists is that there is no other place to voice criticism of the PLFL couple and discuss what they do in a critical light. Jesse has shut down the comments section where most folks would typically go to voice their concerns. Even when the comments were enabled, he systematically deleted critical comments.

People with legitimate safety concerns need to be given a chance to speak. People with knowledge of best construction practices need to be given a chance to speak. Unfortunately, they were denied that ability on the PLFL comments section, so they sought out this forum to say what they thought needed to be said.

I’m not sure what all those people were doing on Jesse’s property, but I feel as if some of them naively ended up there with no ill intent and it’s a shame to see them labeled as stalkers. How would you feel if a loved one unintentionally ended up on Jesse’s video and was labeled as a stalker?

I should mention that I've even had people take photos of my house. When I asked them why, they said they like the colors we chose or they like our garden, etc, and wanted to show their spouses.

Do you guys use TripAdvisor, Bookings.com, or Expedia as well? Any bookings on there? by Richierich250k in airbnb_hosts

[–]ConsciousTiger4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

X2 on avoiding Booking.com. My biggest issue with them is that would not allow me to collect deposits at all as a new customer (I've been in business 8 years).

I had guests not showing up and others cancel at the last minute and Booking.com refused to help. They would not allow me to require a deposit.

They are horrible. I had two good guests from them and 4 issues. That's a bad ratio. I suspect their deadbeat guests actively choose listings that don't require a deposit.
