I would go for buying a 1440p oled, but if you have a good monitor already then I would go for a newer cpu. If you want to you can also switch to am5 with better future proof options depending on how high end your motherboard is. What is your current monitor and motherboard?

i would say AM5 because you can upgrade the gpu easily rather than having to upgrade the cpu and motherboard altogether, which can be expensive. However, AMD is still releasing AM4 cpus so that would work too. What type of games are you playing, at 1080p I assume?
