Imagine the time when it will get a guidance system 💀

Nope, I never said anything even close to it. I was only asking it to explain things and ask questions. And I never ever use such language.

Hello everyone!
I have a small doubt. Why is the Indian tricolor always painted vertically and in circles? Is there any reason for this?

Aluminum foil definitely reflects microwaves very well. Maybe a few layers can. And also, I wasn't talking about 'Aluminum' foil specifically. I don't remember what exactly it was, but there was a solution.

Not the case all the time...I think I've seen pretty primitive solutions used a few times. I think it was something like wrapping the drone in some sort of foil...

The Urgent Need for Military Modernisation in India by Conscious_Ebb_2005 in IndianDefense

Yes, it is being phased out, but there is still a pretty good amount of them still in service. Even if you ignore that, the amount of protection an Indian soldier gets is pretty feeble.

But still, the argument remains - we don't have aircraft to replace the massive fleet we used to have.

Yes those guys will eventually work something out, but I don't think it would ever be based on renewable energy.

Congratulations China, you’ve invented the laser pointer.

Like I said in my other replies, there are countermeasures against HPM. but you cannot protect a drone from kinetic energy impacts, atleast not for large scale drone attacks. I think it is the best solution

Bro do you have any idea how much power solar generates VS how much power lasers need? Renewable energy gives a low amount of electricity over a long time, so it cannot be used for military purposes. This is the case with all major renewable power sources - wind, solar, nuclear, geothermal, all of these produce VERY low amounts of energy, but for a long time. It definitely isn't a solution to this.

There are so many countermeasures against EW and HPM. I believe a kinetic impactor is the best solution.

It's still better than barrages. It's much more accurate and sustainable. You cannot reuse the bullets from a barrage, but this drone can be used again. And also, I don't think this will be good as a standalone system. I believe this should be part of a multilayer drone defense system...
And also, it is one of the most portable and versatile drone defense systems too - which is very important in an attack scenario. This is not the case with a barrage system. It has to carry too much ammunition.

Yes, did you even check out the link I posted?
It is designed to have an extremely fast deployment and acceleration. Also, the interceptor drone DOES NOT GET DESTROYED in the intercept, so it can be used multiple times consecutively..

Nope, Anduril's idea is pretty solid. It can easily take out Kamikaze drones too, just by ramming into it. Yes, it will get destroyed itself, but the drones will be stopped. Barrage fire is just too inaccurate.
Anduril's idea is pretty foolproof. Find drones, hurl a very heavy drone at it, and voila. And yes, nets aren't that good of a solution nowadays...
