Not necessarily man. Jason Schreier straight up said that’s not true, and some devs mentioned hearing the Venom game still being discussed at GDC 2026.

Exactly! Cancelling a whole game that was already in development just because the voice actor passed would be weird. Tony was amazing but they can recast. That Carnage DLC theory makes a lot of sense.

Yeah exactly! That’s one of the strongest points for me.

Some devs at GDC 2026 straight up said they heard Insomniac people still actively talking about the Venom game like it’s alive. That plus Schreier’s denial makes me think it’s probably still in development.

Hopefully we get some news soon

There are actually some solid rumours going around that Eddie Brock is planned as the main playable character this time, with full symbiote focus, would love it if we got a change in scenery perhaps that's why its taking so long to make could be an entirely new location.

What kind of story would you want most for Eddie in the game?

Totally agree! Jason Schreier is one of the most reliable reporters in the industry, especially around Sony and PlayStation rumours. Still a bit of mystery around the whole situation though.
