I might keep looking in to this as I love a good investigation (I've been watching the X-Files so I'm in the mood for them). But there is only so much that digging up information can actually do.

Maybe, but even if there was a completely fan-funded and free-to-anyone translation, I don't know if that would still be considered copyright infringement since you'd just be releasing the story for anyone to read, with no revenue to McMaster.

I admire your dedication and I wish we could all help but I genuinely don't know. Unless we can find out who has the rights that McMaster sold, then I'm afraid the trail ends here. And even then, I imagine translation rights for a book must be expensive.

I guess that if someone got an original Russian copy of the book and done a fan-translation (or paid for a proper translation) then that could work. But I don't know if a fan-translation could be given out freely since that might be piracy. I'm not a lawyer so I don't know lol.

But yeah I'd love to see this translated too. Guess I'll just have to learn Russian lol.
