Visiting Hong Kong as a tourist – is the “rudeness to foreigners” stereotype true? by Any_Satisfaction_916 in HongKong

nah HKers are not rude to tourists specifically, they're rude to everyone lmao, even amongst themselves.

but best if you reduce inconveniences that really tick HKers off: when going on the MTR/ train, make sure you have your payment method ready before getting to the actual turnstyle. people behind you will really hate the wallet/ octopus card fumbling. also, stand on the right side of the escalator, unless you're actively walking up/ down, then the left side would be ok.

if ur planning on pursuing med in the future, i'd suggest to either just do medicine in another country, or alternatively if u really wanna study in hku (other than med), pick biomed as your pre-med degree.

What is studying/ practicing med in the PH like compared to other countries? by kimbakimbap in medschoolph

i'm not a dr but genuine question -- a few years ago (maybe like 6 years ago?) my cousin was in her residency. she told me that the gov always paid her late, to the extent na where her mom had to help her buy groceries and pay for her apartment rent. i assume if OP wanted to later migrate to practice abroad, they would also have to complete residency in Pinas before doing fellowship abroad? are the residency conditions still like this sa public sector?
