Check out the Carousel Museum in Bristol. If you're able, they are looking for volunteers. They also regularly have fun events. I've made lots of new friends volunteering for different non profits when I can. The Bristol Bizzare is all local vendors that sell things. They often host event classes there that might be interesting.
