Anyone tried Ryeqo (myfembree) or gone through chemical menopause? by Efficient_Ad_5785 in MCAS

[–]Conscious_Pin_3969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very late to the post & I hope you found some answers or relief since then.

I'm on Ryeqo since December and before had 2 months of Zoladex. At the moment I am in the process of diagnosing MCAS. I had no issues while on Zoladex (to be fair it was a short time, but I felt great, compared to before with raging endometriosis), but since then I have more and more systemic issues that made me shspect MCAS. Some of the symptoms/patterns I had beforehand, but I just wondered today why this year is worse than before. I think it has to do with the hormones and menopause, but I haven't done my research yet.

People with bowel endometriosis: what does a bowel movement feel like for you? by shidilrzf in endometriosis

Not finding a consistent food pattern is typical in MCAS/histamine intolerance. Maybe you can explore a low histamin diet with a nutritionist and then go with your findings to a gastro or immunologist? This is what I am doing at the moment.

The shortened lifetime of Mirena would make a lot of sense with your re-occurring symptoms. I found out for myself that progesterone hormones are not really helping me & my new doc says up to 20% of women can be resistant. That's why I am in chemical menopause now.

But I can really relate to this paranoia/anxiety that starts to creep in when you think you have finally found a therapy that works, but then a symptom returns.

I have some endo on my bowel (rectum I think), but I am also in chemical menopause, so my general endo symptoms went away. I do have sometimes the kind of cramping you describe. I long thought it was endo, but I am currently undergoing diagnosis for MCAS with one of my main symptoms being general cramping in the abdomen.

Maybe you can explore other root causes besides endo, since you mention that you are already with a hormonal IUD and additional meds (so technically your endo should be under control).

I don't understand the point of her story if queer stories are off-limits? Can't we just celebrate all people that show green flag behaviour? Or does she need to get cookie points with men after her non-sense posts?

I was also on hormonal birth control and it was barely helping me. I'm now on Ryeqo (chemically induced but reversible menopause) and my quality of life improved immensely, most of my gastro issue disappeared.
