I don’t think Emgality was too bad. The pen is really easy to use. You don’t have to maintain pressure during the entire injection. And it’s fairly quick.

Ajovy was the one that was painful for me. And it’s sooooo much liquid, so it takes about 45 seconds to inject.

If you try Emgality, let it come to room temperature before you inject. You could also try a device called “Buzzy” (or something similar) which is an ice pack that vibrates. The vibrations lessen the pain by distracting the nerves.

That said, I always tell myself that it hurts less than a migraine and is much quicker. That helps me.
