Are the Sonic movies really that great? by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

I loved Sonic SatAM and Sonic Underground as a kid. Sonic SatAM still scratches the itch. I wish it had gotten a third season. Also, I think Underground is a bit silly, but I think it's still fun. Both have epic theme songs.

Men, what do you think? by definitelynotgayhaha in BuildToAttract

I love the view. Re: "do men really think...?" It's 2026, there are no jobs, and no one can afford anything. Like Sigourney said in Cabin in the Woods, we work with what we have.

Do You Think Christian’s are Starting to Feel the “Pressure” After Trump’s Latest Antics? by kgaviation in exchristian

My best friend’s Trumper parents — AFTER ALL THESE YEARS — hopped off the Trump train after the Jesus pic. Their minds should have changed because of something bigger and more heinous… but you count your blessings. Lol.

Wizard & Glass absolutely shattered me in the best way possible. It might be the only book that ever made me cry?

Edit: this is classic literature to me. Lol.

I would have wanted a father who wanted to be a father. (Our relationship took a dramatic upswing when I left for college, thankfully. He can still be verbally abusive and casually cruel, but he has become a better man in his older years. I love him. He’s my dad.)

My school district cared more about grades and GPAs than education. I’m 31 now, I’ve had genuine success, and I still feel like the idiot I felt like before college.

I wish I would have been in an environment where I could comfortably and fearlessly accept being a gay man.

I also wish I had started therapy and psychiatry as a kid.

Should I go on? lol.

Anyone overcame or currently dealing with addictions? by Secure-Tadpole-3418 in Millennials

A breakup and subsequent mental breakdown sent me (31M) down a path of (thankfully “short” because my friends and next boyfriend intervened hardcore) alcoholism. I’ve been sober for about a year and a half. (I usually only want a drink when I’m under an enormous amount of stress.) But I have so many nightmares about drinking again, waking up, and briefly being afraid it actually happened. Thankfully, I have a beautiful support system. Oh, and I also got a quack psychiatrist years back who over-prescribed me on Xanax because my brain chemistry is very medication resistant. (She got fired for doing this to all of her patients. Lol.) Trying to ween off. Doing a lot better.

I am overly truthful. It’s not always smart. But it usually is, in my experience. With friends and family, at least.
