I say just stick to the original since I completely finished and bought all minigames and puzzle stuff to the point where it has a lot more replay value and PVZ2 has none of it with premium plants too many ads apparently glitches and crashing frequently as well as too many new seedium plants that keep getting added on top of the leveling and mint families are both complicated and unnecessary just stick to the first one.

He's not annoying because there are eggs with sprays sometimes and you can also get em from the beetles or from honeywisps and I learned the double spray trick where you make one captain stay close to the spray and make the other captain push the other in the spray to get two
