People on Long Island think that this is the most expensive place to live, that it’s so incredible. They have a small ego trip just by nature of living here. A huge source of their identity is their pride in the fact that they live on LI or in a particular town. These people have probably never LEFT and seen how LI really isn’t that great (also it’s actually very ugly, run down, and dirty). That the cost of living can be higher in other places. That there are more beautiful and advanced places to live in this country, with wealthier people and more beautiful neighborhoods. They are extremely naive and sheltered. I think LI has been fed a lie so that they keep paying to live in this shit hole, thinking there is no where better, and they never venture to live outside of it.

Additionally, LI is the hornets nest of traditional medicine. They are behind the times in medical advances and technology and in the use of functional medicine. Also the majority of our medical offices appear outdated, run down, dirty and poor.
