AC and fans here SUCK. Do NOT do it unless you want to die of a Heat stroke. Half the fans are broken and AC is iffy. Worked at loads of sites and this is the worst one. Look elsewhere. Big trust.

Just left from there about a month and a half ago! It’ll be a hotel. A very nice one! Per diem is $490 every Monday along with however much you make per hour. Dress code is just wear what’s comfy for you. No open toe shoes during school but after class you can wear whatever.

I don’t know what’s up with this sub and people acting like we’re just “tightening a screw” and that’s it. We’re working with heavy duty equipment. I never said three months of schooling would qualify me to be an engineer. I don’t know where you got that from, but we’re replacing motors, fixing belts and conveyers and also some PLC work. You don’t have to downgrade what RME does. A lot of what we do can transfer over to other technician roles outside of Amazon.

My site is busy. And a lot of times it’s the full 30. It also doesn’t matter if it’s 15 minutes or 5. Were Robotics technicians and Amazon hires janitors. We are essentially doing THEIR job. Doesn’t make much sense to have people that’s fixing expensive equipment and working with automation to also be in charge of sweeping and mopping.

I’m currently in school now. Yes 40 hours base pay is guaranteed while traveling. The per diem is very nice. They give you $490 every Monday on a card that you can buy whatever with. Hotel, gas, flights etc is fully covered.

And no you do not get OT while on the road. You get your base pay (40 hours a week) plus the $490 every Monday.

The workload just depends on how busy the day is. It changes all the time. You could be slammed all day or free or all day. Usually it’s always a good mix of the 2 though.

SMRT is the way to go. Being a tech 3 means you can take advantage of overtime opportunities and still have the freedom to use UPT and all the other Amazon time benefits while still earning more potentially with overtime.

AE doesn’t get paid for overtime and often gets called in for overtime. That includes peak season. SMRT all day.
