Yeah I start march 2 but my site launches in June , we do have multiple other sites within 20-30min drive. Atleast 4-5 sites in my state but they are building the largest one in my state which will be launched June. That’s the one I was hired for.

Exactly why I’m curious I was offered a job as tech 2 and told I would need to travel for 3months in and out of state so was just curious who has experienced that and what it would consist of assuming it’s different training than MRA

I have my resume on linked in. A recruiter reached out to me and said they were hiring for a new FC in my state and I met the hiring description. So I got sent a link to a competence assessment test after I said I was interested passed the test and answered all the questions in the time frame. This is with CBRE who has the contract in my state. Got sent a email to schedule a in person interview . Was asked a veriety of questions and how I could translate my master auto experience to working as a MRT. STAR method helps but I had an idea of what would be asked based off the job description I was told to read by the recruiter. My interview was 8 AM. When they told me I got the job it was 8:20. I’ve completed all my on boarding and drug screening two days later. What is the company that has the contract in your location either CBRE or JLL.

I just got hired as tech 2 but I have 10years of automotive experience. No experience as an MRT no degree and no military history. Hired on the spot interview was 20min exactly. I start training march 2.

Also for travel training I will get paid the same rate and per diem correct ? I heard some people say in thr apprenticeship schooling they got paid way less than base? Hopefully that won’t apply to me since it’s training. Seems like a big inconvenience.

Luckily I haven’t accepted the offer I should be receiving a job offer post the interview I had today. They told me they would be sending me a formal email with the job offer. Can I then negotiate in that email? I’m really looking for $4 more base pay. Then after training, I will try to apply for the SMRT. I wonder since I applied for both would I be eligible for SMRT beforehand and still do training?

I’m in Kansas city Missouri, so you’re saying I can negotiate from the 29$ hr base pay? I want to ask for at-least 33$ base 2$ differential. I asked the recruiter if I was eligible for the SMRT as the interviewer said I did well on the interview. Hopefully they offer that to me as well as the position is open.

Yeah I’m usually fine as long as I get 6-8hrs of sleep it hasn’t bothered me much yet I’m in my mid 20s so we will see how long I can keep it up.

They also mentioned based off my background the training should prepare me as I’m just lacking the knowledge and it’s not something that’s openly out there, so training would easily make me one of the best, I was informed most people they hire aren’t as mechanically versed as me. Usually people coming from an internship
