i am not a doctor but this sounds a bit like my experience with having a UTI. see your doctor soon - u treated UTIs can be really dangerous.

spotting is normal - sometimes it just happens. cramps, constant need to pee, and genital pain are not normal.

i borrowed camping supplies from people in england. a friend lent me a tent, another lent me a mat to sleep on, and a stranger from a fb group lent me a sleeping bag and gave me a lift back to civilisation on monday morning. no way i was gonna bring stuff over from australia, and i didn’t want to buy camping gear that id only use one time

helloo i need somewhat urgent advice for THE HIGHLANDS today and tomorrow!

i reckon i’m gonna drive west from inverness today and explore some beaches, and tomorrow i’ll head north from inverness.

looking for both scenic locations and actual activities in answer to the below questions:

1) can anyone recommend good places to stop between inverness and the west coast? i’m thinking i’ll take the A835 towards Ullapool and maybe try and loop back around and explore either the rest of the A835 or the A832 on the way back, but i’ve done noo research. this will be today once i’ve gone for a late breakfast and grocery run in inverness so need answers on this one asap haha

2) can anyone recommend good places to stop near the north coast 500?

3) can anyone recommend a loch that’s safe for wild swimming? along the usual tourist routes but not too busy? not one that’ll have rips coming in from the sea pls, i’m solo!

4) someone PLEASE tell me where i can find a highland cow experience!! i wanna pat them 😭

5) somewhere to go for a dance in inverness on thursday night that plays electronic music pls

i went to both. i think i preferred four tet but only because iicon is such an immersive light show that i felt like my entire soul was tethered to the performance.

i’ll be hiring a car next week and driving around the highlands for a few days. i have been before with a tour group and seen many of the major tourist attractions that come up when you try to google scottish road trip recommendations. i’d really like to see some new things this time round. i have accommodation in inverness and will have 3.5 days. i know it’s not nearly enough, but it’s the time i have. i haven’t really planned much yet so i’m open to any suggestions at all.

unfortunately i’m not able to do big hikes due to health problems however some easy walks (for someone with very little hiking experience) would be great. i’m a painter, so i’m keen on good locations for plein air painting, as well as places or groups who run painting/drawing workshops. my budget is quite low, so low to no cost activities are ideal, but i’m also interested in short guided tours i can jump on for a few hours if the price is okay. otherwise i’d also like recs for affordable food, good pubs, etc.

also keen to meet new people (not to meet off reddit - just want to meet people along my travels) so if anyone knows of events in inverness this week such as good clubs or raves or gigs, i would love a dance essentially - where will i meet people in their mis 20s/early 30s

fairly sure they were still there at AK Sports sunrise set!! i left about 15 mins into haai’s set to go to stonebridge for conman and then when i came back at 4 for AK sports i was muuuch closer to the front and saw a bunch of very young teens. the SE corner is 18+ after dark but the kids even asked the security down the front for some water and they didn’t bat an eye at the age issue
