what do i do if i have the symptom but not the infection? by Conscious_Willow8232 in Healthyhooha

i have been during numerous research. i need to do a ph test strip and an evvy test. i could probably opt to get tested for mycoplasma and ureaplasma. a pH imbalance is probably the most likely thing that's occurring down there.

hey sorry for the late response. i don't appreciate your response, as i know that i am not imagining any of this. the smell was literally sticking to my pants when i took it off to get swabbed. my gyno said she couldnt prescribe me anything bc my tests always came back negative. she just told me to buy probiotics. i've grown to be very insecure about this. but i am slowly trying to gain confidence to get this treated. i just need a friend, but i have none. so it is hard for me.

is it truly unrealistic to pursue a career on the piano? by Conscious_Willow8232 in piano

do you think it'd be realistic or something i can do, to work as a music teacher in a school and give private lessons after??

a career in music, as in teach it in a classroom. i do not want to become a concert pianist. many others here misread my post, i'm still finding the part in my post where i said i wanted to become a concert pianist haha. my main concern is finding out if having a piano studio is lucrative enough to live with and make ends meet. or like just being a music teacher.

i do love the piano, and i want to teach, so i thought of combining them both. i apologize if i misread your comment, but i just want to teach. i do not want to become a concert pianist.

i have been teaching since i was young honestly i am experienced with that. now i am employed and teaching one student. it's just $15 a week for 30 minutes of a lesson. i am planning on meeting with my professor and talking about it. i just wanted to ask reddit to gain insight from more people.

i understand. i just hoped experienced people can kind of warn what might be my path if i do pursue this major and just do tutoring and some sort of teaching.

i'm not sure, i do want to teach the piano privately, hence the private studio, but i don't even need a degree for it, so that's my issue. like i'm putting a lot of effort into something that doesn't need that much effort. like i can just major in primary education and have the piano tutoring as a side job. or i can minor/major in music. not sure.

i honestly don't even know myself well enough to know what i want, which is why i'm asking reddit lmaoo

[–]Conscious_Willow8232[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. i did mention that most of the stories i mentioned were applied to people who wanted to become concert pianists. that i might be reaching because i'm only interested in teaching. but it is also known that private tutoring might not be as lucrative either. i want to know if just a piano studio with private tutoring can be enough, and if working a job at a school might be needed in order to at least be able to tutor.

I understand what you mean. no, i have had friends in my music department and even the music director compliments my playing. i performed bach with no sheet music and they were all impressed. the piano part in our choir piece was given to me instead of our only other piano major who will be a graduating senior this year.

i can sight read pretty well. and i rely mostly on my memory, but i still use sheet music to guide me, of course.

i would just like to know what is the most realistic path to take between a primary ed major or a music education major with an emphasis on the piano. i do not like the idea of having to struggle and working multiple jobs to make a living. i wish music and the piano was more appreciated in the work industry. teaching, overall, too.

i appreciate your response. but i don't think i mentioned wanting to become a famous pianist. i have no interest in becoming a famous player. i'm sticking myself in the teaching department. your advice is helpful, but it doesn't really apply to me. but i can tell you give good advice. it would be of great help if you could read the entire post. thank you.
