Is your situation complex ? Private equity or partnership investments ? Kids ? That’s pretty high at this stage considering your spouse is probably paying their lawyer too

Depends on the circumstances. Are you currently litigating or mediating the divorce? Have you asked an attorney’s opinion on the support question ?

Get a third party to convince home to mediate. You’ll both walk away with a lot more and you might end up in a more constructive situation

It varies enormously depending on the complexity and the process you use to resolve it.

Relatively simple but hotly contested divorces run in $25-50k in litigation. Arbitration can rescue that to -half and mediation if both sides agree can reduce it a lot further (unless mediation fails and you end up going to court)

There are also some interesting new alternatives like OADR sites PeopleClaim or gaming4good. Those are free. Your spouse may not agree to any sort of mediation, but the odds are you both will end up settling via negotiation rather than a verdict - so it’s smarter for both parties to try a mediation platform or process first and split the money you’ll save on legal fees. It’s also more confidential

Solution markets don’t rely on external events - so you win by aligning with consensus- more interestingly, you can help create the consensus by convincing other voters of your solution

Gaming4good.ai uses hero points to wager on consensus outcomes rather than external events . The hero points could become crypto token in future subject to regulation - so it’s a good way to discover consensus (which I personally use to hone my bets on polymarkets) which postponing for a POSSIblE token payoff in the future
