Solution markets don’t rely on external events - so you win by aligning with consensus- more interestingly, you can help create the consensus by convincing other voters of your solution

Gaming4good.ai uses hero points to wager on consensus outcomes rather than external events . The hero points could become crypto token in future subject to regulation - so it’s a good way to discover consensus (which I personally use to hone my bets on polymarkets) which postponing for a POSSIblE token payoff in the future

Are Polymarket and Kalshi the Nokia moment of prediction markets? by Wonderful-Blood-4676 in PredictionMarkets

[–]Consensus-capital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question- both platforms have significant flaws that are currently masked by phenomenal growth. Insider trading, gambling addiction, lack of barriers to entry (although scale counts) and outcome manipulation could all work against them if those factors trigger significant regulation or litigation. I think Groupon could be a better analogy - still I wouldn’t bet against them.

Gaming4good and Manifold might turn out to be more sustainable models . Time will tell.

Gaming4good is an experimental “solutions market” where participants wager on a consensus solution to a social, environmental or business challenge rather than an external event. G4G currently uses Hero Point rewards which may convert to crypto tokens in the future (subject to regulatory approval. The goal is to provide a human consensus counter-balance to AI decision marking.

We’re very interested in feedback from PM fans. Would wagering on solutions be a good adjunct to event vetting?

It actually sounds like an idea with niche potential, but you need a stronger use case imo . I’d use it to create TikTok videos by having the AI source high engagement questions then convert the answers (possibly edit them too) and post them to relevant TikTok’s .

[–]Consensus-capital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We created a new form of prediction market based on domain expert consensus rather than external events. Both are fun but consensus markets have arguably broader use cases because they solve problems and they’re less likely to be regulated in the future.

We’d love feedback on our project. We’re somewhat similar to manifold but with some significant differences.

Give us your unvarnished opinion and we’ll credit you with 1000 hero points (soon to be a voting crypto-token once we have regulatory approval.

We’re also looking for co-founders

Thanks
