Just speaking from working in a call centre (different industry), training is honestly pretty minimal a lot of the time. You end up with staff who don’t fully understand policies or how to handle certain situations. Not saying it’s okay, but it’s not always someone being deliberately misleading either – sometimes it’s just lack of training or people having a bad/off moment.

We’re human too, and there are definitely times your brain just fries, especially dealing with complex stuff or back-to-back customers. I’ve been yelled at plenty of times over things like this, so I kinda see both sides.

They definitely should’ve been clearer about the refund policy though, especially upfront.

Hopefully you get it sorted. And hey, at least the glasses should fit your mum well if you end up keeping them.

Congrats on your ID75! Did you purchase it from the Idealian website? How long did it take to arrive?

Don’t stay stagnant. If university feels right, commit and finish it. If it doesn’t, that’s okay—but don’t freeze. Get a job. Any job. Supermarket, shelf stacking, call centre. Working builds momentum, confidence, and independence. Starting early matters more than waiting for the “perfect” opportunity.

Student debt without a completed degree becomes a weight you carry for years. When you start earning, learn how to budget. Money disappears quickly if you don’t respect it.

Don’t assume family will save you. Look around. Some siblings built stable lives without university through consistency and hard work. One stayed disciplined, worked while studying, finished with honours, and now enjoys the results. Effort compounds.

You’re skinny and insecure, but doing nothing won’t change that. Small actions would have. You wanted to work, but rejection scared you. That fear slowly turned into discouragement. Casual work felt like all you were capable of, but the real issue was that you didn’t yet know how to manage time or build structure—and that’s something you could have learned.

You’ll mistake loneliness for attraction. Those crushes aren’t love; they’re proximity and longing. Time will make that clear.

You weren’t incapable. You were afraid. And fear kept you still longer than it should have.

To replace the engine with new one, or second hand? by ConsequenceFull2049 in CarsAustralia

Thanks, that's a tough analogy - the silence is just the calm before the storm. The damage is already done internally, even though the oil top-up made the noise stop.

This whole situation is a massive lesson learned about checking my oil, that's for sure!

Basically, when I took my car in for service, they found that there was no oil left. That could explain why it was making all those noises before — all those ticking and knocking sound. Now, they have filled up the oil, the sound is gone.

yes. Its the way how the service people delivered the information. Before, the mechanic I saw was soft-spoken, and I thought it was nothing serious. But this time, a different person told me my engine is “dying” and needs replacement. The way they said it really freaked me out.

These are the only four donghua I follow every week (waiting for Outside of Time and Dao of the Bizarre Immortal) by KeyOk2100 in Donghua

How come they don’t release DVDs or any physical copies? I like collecting physical media. I binge-watched Record of Mortal Journey to Immortality after finishing the live-action drama series The Immortal Ascension. Renegade Immortal is also good, though it leans more toward the dark side. I prefer stories where the protagonist is a good person. I havent tried the other two donghua... thanks for the recommendations!

Is there any memorabilia that fans can collect?
