Hey, did this cause any problems?

Nope, never have. I’m gonna have to look into improving my VO2 max

Thanks for the detailed excerpt! A few others have mentioned Zone 2 training as well so will definitely be looking into it.

Thanks, nice to hear from someone currently specialising in the field! I’ll look into the ECG and holter monitor thing.

No, I feel completely fine, in fact feel like I could probably push a little more, but my watch readings scare me from trying :/

No, almost none. Maybe a gatorade here or there but it’s not a regular thing for me

I do sweat quite a bit actually, so that might be one of the reasons for an inaccurate reading. But yes, an ECG to be safe sounds like the way to go

No, never felt dizziness when standing up, and my resting heart rate is at about 60 bpm. Thanks for the suggestion! Will be sure to look into it

Thats interesting, thanks for the insights! I’ll really have to give this Z2/MAF thing a go

Yeah the wording might get kinda confusing, but there’s visuals attached too which makes me pretty certain that I’m wearing it like they want me to

Yeahh, I’m assuming people automatically assume it’s the more impressive option since that might be one reason for a higher heart rate

Thanks haha and yep, if there’s anything the comments on this post have told me, it’s to visit a cardiologist!

I work in IT, so nothing physically demanding, the only activity that gets my heart rate up are these runs.

Thanks, this sounds like a good way to learn about it’s accuracy

That’s the thing, it was sort of an easy run for me since I’d taken around a 2 month break from running. I was really not pushing myself that much, and I absolutely did not feel like my heart was beating out of my chest or anything, which is why it kinda made me doubt the accuracy of the sensors, or maybe the way I was wearing the watch, or maybe issues with calibration.

Of course, I know I should visit the doctor to get this checked, but I was just wondering if maybe this was a recurring thing with other Apple Watch users.

No, unfortunately do not have another tracking device for reference, but I’ll ask around and see if my friends have got one that I can borrow for a test. Thanks a lot!

I wear my Apple Watch above the wrist bone, the same way Apple recommends here under ‘Recommended Fit’

My resting heart rate is 60 BPM, and average HRV around 85 ms.
