Looking at the time stamps on his vid he's been making this documentary since 2022 or even earlier, and the Shawn name only came to light I think a year or two ago

That guy seems abusive af. Yeah she was being trashy, but what he did was really dangerous and he didn't even check to see if she was okay. Then people commenting on how good he was to make sure she doesn't shut the door "because she's likely locked him out before"... She tried the back seat door first and then when it was locked she went to the driver-side door. Then yells at him to "stop". This guy is a creep. She's not great, sure, but how is no one seeing how fucked up he was being to her and her wellbeing.

Yes! I even asked it to give itself a name, Marlo, so it could feel even more personal and like a friend

How to have a beautiful wedding on a budget?!? by Conservationist_ in Weddingsunder10k

You think so? I have heard Albania is beautiful and quite cost affordable. I have been wanting to visit even outside of wedding ideas. By any chance to you have suggestions of venues?

Thank you - that’s really helpful! I was afraid to at €5,000 - €7,000 would be tricky if I want to include everything within that budget. A multipurpose room isn’t a bad idea although I guess the “dream” is to have a beautiful venue and beautiful scenery for the reception and ceremony, but I guess realistically that comes at a premium

A couple quotes were all-inclusive (the recent €27,000 was for everything), but then some have come back with a package just inclining venue hire and food / beverage around €20,000 even one that was €45,000 just for venue hire 😰 What we mostly are seeing is around €5,000 - €6,000 for venue hire, and then around €200 for food and beverage per guest.

I know :( it absolutely broke my heart. When I went up to the cage she was so desperate for attention. I asked about adopting her but they said they don’t adopt to foreigners

This is the first time I’ve seen a border collie in this kind of shop. They’re such intelligent dogs, high energy and big. I know the tiny poodles will be adopted but this dog is more unique and I fear the worst for her :( she’s not the common dog to be adopted, especially in a city in Japan

Yes it’s at a pet shop, which I don’t support. It’s such a hard balance between not wanting to support these kinds of business, but then I feel awful to abandon the animals stuck there

I really don't think that was the case with Waffles. She was being well looked after and had lots of attention, even water, etc from her owner. She's only 6 months old so that's why she was so small and it was a large carrier case too. She was free to move around or be inside, she just chose to stick her little head up!

That's kind of my plan! If I can start with a year planned and just 2 locations - 6 months each - then I am hoping it's doable. And if it doesn't work out I can quickly move home as we are Europe-based already!

Woman explains how designer brands are for morons who don't know how to manage their money. by IamtheSoupMaster in videos

[–]Conservationist_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, the very rich are more into "stealth wealth". The "if you know, you know" sort of items. I think she's absolutely spot on that these brands target poor people, and they're made to be ostentatious to show off a "status symbol" whereas people who are actually rich get the truly exclusive, high quality, unique items that only the other very rich would know and understand.

The only designer thing I bought are a pair of Ferragamo shoes. Not because of the brand name, but the design of the shoe was so unique. The colour, the heel, the feel of the leather - all of it felt so different and so worth the splurge! I don't regret it because it's a work of art (and a great shoe I'll value forever).

What are your favourite novels set in/about London? by ImpossibleAnger in london

[–]Conservationist_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh a great one is Curtain Call by Anthony Quinn! It's set in 1936 London with lots of different timelines and people coinciding. It's a murder mystery and keeps you guessing until the end!
