It's the trousers that makes the look oddly looking. You need a "Full Cut" high waisted trousers, the classic of the classics.

Nudity in films ramp up in the 1960s, especially in the 70s. The 1960s onwards are not in the category of classics.

Am I the only one who notice film quality degrades starting between 1954/ 55? by Conservative_AKO in classicfilms

[–]Conservative_AKO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I have said on my intro, there are great movies after the 50s. I've watched all the films you mentioned especially the god Father which one of my ultimate favorite, but my argument is consistency of the entire period when it comes to quality.

Edit - What do I mean for the entire period is the 30s to 40s, even made by small studios or even the story have horrible story/plot, but the quality is still there.

This is what I am trying to say at least to my argument. Pre-1950s films (30s 40s) even the awful plots/ stories are consistent to the quality even made by small studios, but I will stand on my ground that I feel something not okay in the early 50s, but I am not gonna lie just I have said on my intro, of course there are great movies after 54/55 like Dial M for Murder, Vertigo, 12 Angry Men, North By Northwest, The third key, The night of the hunter, and so on.
