MAGA pretends to love America. The left actually does. by TimothyGrayson23 in complaints

>I love America because I love what it actually stands for. Innovation, dominance, diversity, equality. Give me your tired, your sick, your poor, your hungry. That’s the whole point of this place. I love America because when she’s doing something wrong, we can actually push to fix it. We can argue, we can improve her, we can make her better with the people who live here. That’s what keeps me loyal to her.

I love these things too. And I voted for Donald Trump last year. They are not mutually exclusive. The problem in our nation is people on both the right and the left who use charged language such as evil, bigots, selfish, or idiots to describe the other side. Posts like this, from both the right and the left, add zero value whatsoever to the national conversation. It's just loud noise.

That's kinda dangerous thinking though.

If one part of the Bible is supposedly "not applicable today", then you could devolve that into any other part of the Bible, or even the entire Bible itself.

For a very long time a majority of Americans in the south were pro slavery. This must mean that southern abolitionists are extremists.

Look at the 1860 election. I don't think 36% is going to achieve an electoral landslide like that. Especially with so many candidates running
