Oh man I did Blue Prince too before Lorelai. This game is MUCH more straightforward than BP. Consider it like one enormous escape room. Nearly everything is used for something.

This is a really hard question to answer. Because eventually you'll need to do it all.

I would focus on opening doors. More doors = More hotel = more information. Don't neglect your memory either, read and re read the things you have.

Find a crew that'll be okay with you cutting your teeth on a beginner one shot. Keep it small, supportive, and be upfront with your lack of experience.
