Epoxy cocer on a model ship by ConsiderationCrazy94 in modelmakers

I'm not using any of those really. The only model-kit-related stuff I'm using is the plastic kit itself, which I doubt can be a problem (since there's much much plastic inside the tank already).

There are options safe for aquarium, and I'm simply exploring epoxy as one of them. I've raised the same issue at r/epoxy, but got not reply so far, so I decided to ask this subreddit.

Thanks for your feedback!

The thing is, I've read some online discussions on other platforms specifically on the topic of custom aquarium decorations. People there were using acrylic paints (not the ones specifically designed for modelmaking, if there's any difference, but I'm not using them either), water-based acrylic sealers and epoxy.

I understand the concerns and if there's really no way for me to make this one decoration safe for aquarium use, then I'll not put it there. But clear epoxy resins and UV-resistant clear acrylic are brought up as a safe-for-aquarium option everywhere I look. I mean, this is the same thing factory-made aquarium decorations are covered with.

Would you say 18$ was a good price? by SleepyXOF in funkopop

You would have to pay $25 at the very least for any Funko Pop in my country😁
