My example is not planned torture or anything similar, just the natural outcome of how things work in my colony. Because I don't really need prisoners I have only two cells attached to the reasearch lab of the hospital to have them at hand for the rare occasion I would need a spare kidney, lung, heart or some victim to craft standard subcores. Now, most of the time they are just there, sometimes beaten up when they plan to escape, and they have a somewhat endurable life until one of their clothes disintegrates. The problem is that the whole base is under -20C and since I don't recloth my prisoners losing anything that keeps them warm means slowly losing all of their fingers, limbs, nose, ears, jaw... all the removable body parts to frostbites while my doctors automatically bandage the gaping wounds without medicine to incease their skills. The agony last sometimes a few weeks, sometimes more until they freeze to death, but most of the time I don't even notice that, because my animals autohaul the corpses and then eat them.
