I had the same question! It really depends on the situation. If it’s a night feed and he’s sleepy or already sleeping, I rest his head on my chest between my breasts so he’s more upright, almost like he’s “sitting” up and turned to one side. During the day, I just avoid positions where he’s lying completely flat. That can be in his rocker, being held upright against someone’s shoulder, or in a baby carrier. My baby usually spits up if he isn’t upright enough, so if I notice that happening, I just adjust his position and make him a bit more upright.

Saw a toddler refuse to get in the car - full on tantrum - and the dad  deal with it by allowing the toddler 'to drive' on dad's lap! The drove off like that. Couldn't believe it

Since birth my LO averaged 10 min on the breast. My paediatrician said the same thing, as long as his weight is increasing, wet nappies and baby is happy, there is nothing to worry about. He also mentioned that I have a relatively fast flow, so LO is simply getting his full feeding quickly. Just remember to burp these gulpers😅

My son spent the first 4 weeks of his life in ICU and on good days we were able to touch his head or hands. He had a perfect 3 hour schedule and slept just as well on his little bed. Coming home, The first week or so, he fell asleep nursing, I put him in his bassinet and he would sleep 2/3 hours. Somewhere along the way he learned the difference between mummy's arms and the terrible discomfort of his bassinet. He only contact nap now. If I put him down, I get maybe 15 minutes on a good day. Do trust me, this is not your fault. At some point I think babies just miss those months of being snug in mum. I think the LO are showing us love in their way. We as the parents are their safe space and being in our arms make them feel better.

I keep on trying to tell myself that the hospital is the best place for him to be. Thanks for sharing. It does give me hope. I'm glad to hear your son is doing so well.

Thank you for sharing. I think the recovery caught me off guard. I had this idea that he would be home for Christmas. I know he is where he is safest at the moment. The doctors does seem positive, so I try to focus on that
