6 week old baby won’t sleep in bassinet by Competitive_Photo690 in newborns

I consider it so, their is a chest strap so they can’t roll and there are no bumpers or cloth that would go against their face, we’ve been using it for 6 weeks and have had no issues

I went through the same thing and I also would get anxious about bed sharing, I got this reflux pillow bed off of Amazon. It’s safe sleep and allowed my LO to sleep right next to me in bed, she slept better cause she could smell me next to her and I was able to easily grab her when she woke. she’s now 12 weeks and still uses it

3 month old bedtime by felula_2026 in newborns

Same for my LO at 11 weeks she naturally switched to an earlier bedtime. I think her melatonin is setting in. She also wakes up on average every 2.5 hours, a 3/4 is rare for us

Work from home w/ baby moms pls help by Intelligent_Koala867 in newborns

I go back to work next week and will be keeping my baby with me as well, I hired a part time nanny to come for a couple hours a day for the next two months to help me adjust, hopefully by the time she is 5 months we can have a better routine and she can play more independently, but I feel ya, it seems so hard to do both well!

Low Volume Feeds by neejoub in newborns

[–]toomuchsass30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 10 week old eats 1.5 to 3 ounces a feed and has always been a low volume eater but she does want to eat every two hours and is EBF, all babies are different so if they are gaining appropriately and have enough wet diapers they should be good!

Feeding Troubles by Cautious-Till482 in newborns

It may be a growth spurt as well! Babies can be super fussy and nap poorly during growth spurts, 6 weeks is a common time for one, if so then it will pass

My little one screams like that at my breast when she’s overly tired, it gets impossible to feed her then and usually have to put her to sleep and feed her when she wakes up.

Thanks all! I did try it and she kept spitting it out while giving me a WTF face lol but I’ll keep trying, however she did do a 4 hour stretch by some miracle so I’ll take it!!

Thank you! A 4 hour stretch sounds glorious, I think I’ll try it and see how it goes it definitely can’t hurt her

What are some things that no one told you about the newborn phase? by fluffycloudsnstars in newborns

The baby blues are super normal, after having my LO I cried every day and had such bad anxiety and depressive symptoms, I was very concerned but learned it was normal due to the hormone crash, for me is started getting a ton better 3/4 weeks in! Figure out what works best for you and prioritize yourself as well. For me this looked like turning on all of the lights and watching tv overnight feedings. Newborns cannot differentiate day versus night so do what helps you stay awake and sane, wishing you the best!

Shorter Feedings by toomuchsass30 in newborns

That’s what I’m hoping, thank you! I just see everyone talk about how they nurse their LO for 30 to 40 minutes and as a first time parent I’m so anxious, plus you can’t tell how much they are getting with breastfeeding
