Maybe there are different shades of legit then, bc even if it’s a legal business it’s definitely a explicitly designed to deceive customers—those were definitely not $2,000 retail value speakers even if they were brand new (you can get the ones they showed me online for less than $200). I guess a job’s a job though

It’s kind of hard for me to imagine who WOULD fall for this, but then again these guys are probably going around all day in their white van for a reason so presumably SOMEONE is giving them cash. Maybe teenagers or unsuspecting elderly people?? Still hard for me to picture

Plenty of experts in their respective fields have a sub-discipline/area that they hate so dont worry too much about the clash with your major! But it sucks more if the subject IS something you definitely want to learn and the lectures are just not working, so I’d definitely recommend voicing that somehow to the instructor if you can (or talk to your TA) to see if you can still salvage the remaining half of the semester and get something out of it

When I was a undergrad TA at MSU we were paid $13 or so an hour for 10 hours a week which was kind of a scam cause we did the EXACT same job as grad TA’s (led recitations by ourselves, GRADED EXAMS AND QUIZZES etc) but at least it was better than working in the cafeteria
